Okey for the price

Decen't good sound but the slider are very loose and you keep losing the little knobs on them.

Pro's - cheap, and good sound

con's - weak knobs, weak plastic and a stripped screw fell out of the underside of the pedal.

Very dependable EQ, great value

For the price, this is a fantastic EQ pedal. It's not too big of a footprint either, as I only use a small pedal board, so it's very useful. 7 bands is more than enough for what I need and the gain switch is really useful as a simple boost also. I use this with a Fender Deluxe Reverb which doesn't have any mid control so this pedal is really useful. The faders are quite sturdy toop which helps with feeling your way around if needing to tweak and settings on a dark stage. Very recommended.

Good EQ pedal for a cheap price

EQ controls are sensitive and can be adjusted well to add more bass, treble, mids, or a combination. It can even be used as a boost. Level controls are hard to move which is a good thing as too adjustable levers always move accidentally. Comes with a 9V battery. When huge amounts of modifications are added, the sound gets a little muffled, which is not uncommon for EQ pedals in this price range. Overall a great buy for your first EQ pedal for little money and battery taking capability.

This is what helps you get that desired sound

Especially useful if you have an amp without bass/mid/treble-knobs. It has 7 switches for different frequencies so you can tweak it really specifically. The switches lock softly at the middle point, which is great, then you don't have to look at what you're doing, you automatically know where you're at. The gain switch on the right side is useful when you want that extra punch, really good booster. Pedal can be used as an overall booster as well in the FX loop. Really versatile and great price/quality, goes well with other pedals

Good Affordable Option

I bought this pedal in order to see if I really need an EQ pedal in my chain, and was thinking to maybe get a better one if it's the case. I kept it. I doesn't look like it's going to last a very very long time, but for the price you could just buy a new one.

If you're thinking about an EQ and don't wanna invest too much, give this a try.

Prone to clipping

Box, switch and sliders feel fairly sturdy. Would have liked to see a stronger center detent in the middle posistion of each slider.

Sliders are hard to read on a dark stage, this makes it a little useless to EQ out room resonance on the stage and more suited to boost an amp or drive pedal with preset settings.

Works fine for scooping out frequencies after a drive pedal but is prone to clipping when driven too hard by a pedal before it.

Great Sound

Not often you see an 8 band Graphic EQ, but it works very well in this case. It gives you options to control your bass, mid and treble that you amp just wont allow you

Not so good!!!

This pedal was a bit of a disappointment for me. I didn't really like the finish of the plastic casing, and it was a little rough around the edges, although on a dark stage this will not really matter. Also the sliders did not all move with the same feel - some were easily moved while others offered a little more resistance. This could be a problem if you tend to set-and-forget as the sliders could move between gigs.

On the plus side, the pedal does what it is supposed to do and has a good sound with little noise. There are eight bands as opposed to the usual seven and the level control provides a useful boost facility. For the money it's probably worth it if you can ignore the small faults.

8 band EQ

Very versatile, easy to dial in a good tone, happy with the price/quality

Good value graphic equalizer pedal

I bought this equalizer pedal for guitar (but I tried it with bass and it did the job just fine) because it did cost much less than other similar pedals, it's true bypass, and also because I liked the frequency bands it has MORE than those of other more expensive pedals. It worked for me without problems...What could you ask more from it? Just great I'd say

Very good finish

Good price, great finish and utility. This kind of pedal is very important when you have more than 2 or 3 pedals.

The only cons is that the foot switch is a little bit noisy (clit clit a bit annoying) when you push it. But, in general, the product is is very useful.

Fantastic adition to my rig

A very solid feeling metal construction with a plastic backing. The EQ sliders are plastic, and very low profile, with a good amount of resistance. Seems like it would be very difficult to accidentally move them while playing. With them being so close its a bit fiddly to set them all up.

It adds adds absolutely no noise. With the sliders set neutral I cant hear any difference with the pedal on or off. It offers great tone shaping abilites, and works very well as a boost.

Currently I'm using it as a telephonic effect. I am highy considering buying more of them for boost and tone shaping. The thing is way to versitile to just have one.

very good value for money

I mainly use this as an insert effect when I master cassette tape recordings to minimise hiss and boost some of the higher frequencies lost from ping-ponging. It does the job well, with the 5k being pretty spot on for hiss reduction, and the lower high frequencies being pretty spot on for the lost frequencies.

Feels very solid, and great value for money.

Very buzzy

it is quite a powerful EQ and could function as a boost if the level were maxed. But the construction is pretty lightweight, the underside isn't rubberized and there is a noticeable hiss in use. I used a shared daisy chain power supply so it may be from that. But it didn't work for me. It does have a very useable set of frequencies though, great for boosting at 1.4k for a djenty sound like Meshuggah etc. the sliders stick a bit in the middle, so you know where your mid point is but they dont light up as some more expensive EQ units do.

solid EQ

This EQ does exactly what it is supposed to do. The case is made of metal and build quality seems solid. The sliders are easy to move and able to maintain their position. Also they lock when put in neutral position (except volume slider).

Unless volume is put on really high levels this eq doesn't put much noise to the signal. The bypass has almost no influence on the sound either. This pedal can be used as a boost aswell when cranking the level up although dedicated boosters might produce less noise.

As for reliability i can't say much but mine hasn't had any issues so far (bought it about one year ago).

Can't fault it

There's really nothing to fault about this pedal. Structurally it's very well designed, and it doesn't seem to diminish my sound in any way.

The sliders don't protrude very high above the case which is great as it keeps them out of harms way, pretty much everything on it is made of metal and feels very solid.

The range of the EQ allows you to boost and cut frequencies enough to make a big difference, but it's still possible to make fine adjustments. I've found on other graphic EQ pedals that the range is too extreme and moving the sliders even a fraction can change the sound more than you want. They got this one just right.

Overall a great pedal, and the price is right.

Good EQ-pedal

This pedal does its' job well. You can easily dial your tone using it. I bought it because I recently got a Blackstar HT-1, which has no EQ settings. It works great and can be used both for clean as well as driven tones!

A must have!

This little box allows you to shape your tone with it's handy sliders.

Sound coloration is very little and it remains very dynamic and transparant when engaged.

Freq's can be actively boosted or suppressed and an overal signal-boost/cut is also there. Works over the entire useable freq.-spectrum.

Does the job of many, much more expensive, other EQ's.

Great stuff, must have.

Artec Eq

Don't buy this. When adjusting the sliding pot's, the sound changes very little.
