Poorly Built, Unreliable

Despite the chassis itself being well built, the tips on the faders chip off very quickly with regular use. The unit is noisy in operation and has a tendency to scream with feedback if the barrel jack comes even slightly loose (learned the hard way on stage). The footswitch is cheap and sticky.

Great sound on a tight budget

They kept the price down with a plastic chassis, the slider knobs are lose-able and i wouldnt want to tread on them by mistake for fear of breaking them, but the sound is noise free, the eq bands are well defined for excellent tone shaping and there's plenty of gain available. I'm using it as a solo boost for a touch more presence and it's spot on. Bargain.

useful

I got 2 of these to top and tail my guitar chain. Bit hissy. Good though for the money.

You get what you pay for

Upon opening, I noticed that it is extremely lightweight and there is certainly a cheap feeling. The entire build is made up of plastic except for the electrical components and footswitch, which are decent. Some of the sliders have more resistance than others, but other than that this pedal is by all means usable.

The EQ itself is subtle but not non-existent, and gets the job done. You get what you pay for. There are better pedals out there - but at the price of €38, this is a solid option for someone looking to start building their pedalboard.

Mediocre EQ pedal and quality

The first test I did with this EQ, as I do with any EQ, is leave all the sliders in neutral position and see if it changes the sound. It failed this test miserably and the sliders needed to be adjusted quite a bit to achieve a neutral sound when the pedal was engaged.

In addition to that, the paint finish is easily scratched, and the slider knobs detach with ease.

Not recommended.

A cheap EQ

It does what you expect.

Rant: The rubber sliders are faling off, and obviously are therefore getting lost. What remains are tiny metal sliders that stick out. Well i got what i paid for.

Middle of the road

It doesn't seem to be all that responsive but it does what you want to an extent.

The slider knobs come off way too easily. One was actually completely off the slider.

It does also produce quite a bit of noise too. Nothing that can't be remedied by using a noise gate but still a bit of an annoyance.

The casing seems quite sturdy and the pedal works fine.

Underrated pedal

I have used this in my fx loop to sculpt the sound on a Joyo mini head which has only a tone control. I also use this at the front of the chain with my strat and it beefs the single coil signal up for playing metal.

A great preamp for double bass!

I use this as a preamp for my double bass. It has a 1 MOhm piezo-friendly input impedance and the bands are centered pretty close to those of the GK 800RB eq section. I play in one pretty loud band that does mostly roots/country/americana stuff: always a good sound and feedback is never a problem for me. My pickup is similar to K&K's Bassmax btw..

I bought a spare, just in case, but it's still sitting in it's box. The first one that I got more than eight years ago still does it's job. And I bought it second hand.

Hard to beat.

Buon EQ8

Perfetto

Cheap

A bit to simple and cheap. both sound and build wise... get something else instead

Have it both ways

Solid little brick. Great as a band pass eq for on stage production but it really shines in front of your favourite drive giving you an extra string per drive OR a nice clean boost mid boost low boost.

8 bands are honestly more than enough and it holds up against its pricier counterparts.

Does what it is intended to do

Bought it for my brother for his pedal board.

There is not much to write about this equalizer - it does it's job well enough. After several months of use it has no visible signs of wear and works as new.
