Arturia MiniLab MKII Reviews
Love It
The Arturia MiniLab MKII is a compact MIDI keyboard controller designed for musicians and producers who want a portable and affordable tool for creating music. It features 25 velocity-sensitive keys, eight RGB backlit performance pads, and 16 rotary knobs, as well as pitch bend and modulation touchstrips. The MiniLab MKII also comes with the Analog Lab Lite software, which includes over 500 preset sounds from Arturia's V Collection. Overall, the Arturia MiniLab MKII is a great option for anyone looking for a compact and versatile MIDI controller that doesn't compromise on functionality.
Great value for the price
I used only one MIDI keyboard before this one, and I was worried it would feel cheap and almost like a toy given the price, but I was positively impressed from the moment I had it in my hands.
It has a sleek design, which is always nice, and the build quality feels robust and solid, making it durable. The keys have a nice tactile feel and are responsive, allowing for expressive playing. Despite its simplicity, it offers all the essential features I need for my music production workflow without any unnecessary complexity. Considering its affordable price point, it's a fantastic option for those who are new to MIDI keyboards or on a budget, providing excellent value for the money.
The only downside could be the portability, as it has a metal plate at the bottom, making it a bit heavier than similar keyboards. However, it's still portable in my opinion.
Excellent
Just the MIDI missing...
Very well
Great MIDI. Quality corresponds to the declared price
Free software
It's a great keyboard. I might update as I bought NI 14 and want full compatibility without having to assign knobs. but that's the only reason I would ever upgrade. It comes with some great software which you can install and has some brilliant sounds.
Amazing little toy
I wanted some midi keyboard to help me compose, but also experiment with sound. This little controller did the job perfectly well. I don't have much space in my studio, so I needed something small. Sure, the 25 keys limit you somehow, nonetheless it comes with a bunch of controllers and software licenses. It's an amazing controller for the money.
Amazing
An amazing MIDI controller.
I bought this one and it is outstanding. The keyboard is very responsive to velocity and a little bit heavy. for me it works very well.
Highly recommended.
It does the job
It's portable, intuitive and easy to use as it comes with Minilab which is a great place to start playing with sounds.
Not for professional use. Rather to have fun with for when you have a laptop with you on holiday (or in a coffeebar)
Its great for start!
It's really good for new musicians who want buy midi on small budget it will fit you. Sound is great and all other things like the own apps for it.
I recommend it.
A Very Flexible Controller
I have to admit that i have not really gotten into this controller all that much but my experience is that it has lots of features and flexibility - will update this review as i use it more -
Midi
Simple and smart .. love the gear Amazing build quality.
Good price for good quality
It's well built and portable. The keys are nice and responsive, knobs feel good. I also love the looks of it. I still haven't quite figured the programming out, but there's a preset for Ableton that works great. My only gripe is that the pads are ill suited to be used for recording drums, since they don't seem to register fast repetition well.
Best on this price range
Top quality keys and build in general. Best on its category. Only downside is the straight line of 8x1 pad instead of 4x2 but you can get used to it.
Excellent keyed
Satisfied in everything except of the integration with Logic Pro. I use it only to control Analog Lab. It seems that you can control either Logic or Analog Lab but not simultaneously.
Very useful midi keyboard
A very good MIDI keyboard.
You have knobs which are endless encoders which are really helpful when your trying certain stuff.
The sfx modulation strips are really genious and are helpful sometimes.
The drum pads are of high quality.
The keybed is probably the nicest ive felt in a MIDI so far. The keys also have very good velocity control.
Overall, really good build quality, and really good product.
Tiny workhorse!
The Minilab is a must-have addition to any studio setup, allowing you to be creative with a powerful compact controller. The keys are exceptionally made.
Super
Super lovely, super easy to use , super arturia
This was a gift for my son, he found it very useful.
The best Midi
The best midi keyboard for low budget
Every thing is awesome 👌🏼
A great portable midi controller
I bought the minilab as a desktop midi controller to be used with studio one. It handles very well and the integration with Arturia products is excellent, it almost feels like a hardware synth. The 25 keys are restrictive for composition but perfectly adequate for creating parts of songs. Great for travel too.
