The best?

Apparently this is one of the best interfaces on the market in the mid-price segment. I'm not the one to be able to say that, since I only use it for playing VSTs and listening through monitors and headphones.

I previously had an UR22 mkII. Seeing how other people described the sound quality, I frankly expected to hear something wow. It is an improvement, the sound is more spatial, but it's subtle.

I basically got this interface for better headphone sound quality, instead of buying a headphone amp. It powers the Sennheiser HD58x (similar to HD660s in requirements) without any problems, with power to spare.

The latency is excellent, I can use 32 buffer size without any problems on my weak desktop processor.

All in all, my experience with it is excellent, stable, great sound, very low latency. I would recommend it.

Love it

I love everything about this audio interface. It has all the features i need for composing. especially that it has a JFET D.I input, there are really no competitors with this company for the price. The only thing wich is missing in my opinion --> switch ON/OFF button, i really miss this button on this interface. Recommended !

Best in it?s price range

I have been using this interface for 2 years. In this price range I believe it is the best you can get. Preamps are amazing, clean and transparent, and you can drive them more too, they have very nice analog harmonics. Workflow is very easy, construction very solid.

Awesome

It's perfect, not even kidding, it sound great, it's very easy to use. I love it, I go to the studio just to mix the songs I record at home, yes, at home! It's the best investment I've ever made, really!

Great piece of equipment

everything has been said already in so many reviews, my only cons is that there is no switch-off button. My genelec M040 they go off when not in use, this interface keep them on all the time. No t a big dealbut I will have to find a switch for them when. 10 stars sound quality, no doubts

Top interface

This is a really good interface, The only thing missing for me is midi in/out. Easy to setup and works really well with versatile monitoring options.

Great product, but mine had defect

I really like the ID22, but this particular unit has had a few defects that needed repair. The headphone output chip is malfunctioning and outputs 3/4 in the beginning didn't work, but an updated driver repaired that. All in all, good sounding interface, but wish I didn't have to send back to repair.

Damaged product

Bought it before moving back to india and later discovered that every time I turn it on I have to go through few mins of constant jittering on my speakers and the interface keeps disconnecting it self.

Next level recording

This unit is like a dream, "nice, not so expensive, and quality..." then after 3 years, it is gone, dead, finito...3 years in a half for 400 euros unit??...Yes after 3 years this unit is not working, so I google issues and it is amazing how many people having issues, thousands.... I will try to fix it anyway, I still in love for the rest, but durability.....

High quality interface

Audient iD22 sounds great! At this price the sound is beyond what I would expect. The converters stand up to my Benchmark DAC, the soundfield is detailed and wide. The preamps are really quiet - very usable! There are many useful additional features on this interface, including multiple monitor control, preamp bypass, optical inputs for up to 8 additional preamps. Only area it doesn't shine is latency, but it's not lacking either. It's the typical USB interface latency, if you can live with it then it's not a problem.

Successful Preamps and Converters!

The preamps and converters are pretty successful for the price. I love the sound! Only the headphone output is not very good. Last of all this is one of the best audio interface at this price that works both mac and windows.

?d22 Lf fantastic interface for a good price?

Using this interface in my project studio, for recording and mixing. I LOVE it.

Good quality!

Excellent pre-amps and Burr Brown converters, lots of headroom. Build quality is top notch. For the price, even the Apollos struggle to compete.

Very good product

iD22 is a great sound card for it's price. I compared it with my old budget card (Steinberg CI1) and iD22 has less noise (almost half) in the preams and also the DA converters provide more detail in my speakers (MSP-5A). The headphone amp is not a big deal but in general the unit is very good for it's price and it's features.

Best audio interface out there!

I did a lot of reading and research before making this purchase and the claims that it is one of the best, world class audio recording interfaces in a small, intuitive package. Don't hesitate if you're thinking about buying this, it is worth every penny and more!

Best at it's class

Great feature set, a lot of connectivity options with send and returns, simple and intuitive mixer app that totally makes sense and very open detailed converters. Highly recommend it!

As small interface - very good

Most musicials say to me, that ar 2-chanel interface Audient is the best(ore at least one of the best) .

If I record vocals(one and the same condenser microphone) throught cheap interface and after that throught Audient - sound is much better and richer!

The DI-box by second channel makes guitar sound amasing! It is able also to make gain to zero, than make virtual amps in software louter, and the sound will bi also in hight quality.

If you want to record guitar with pedals(distortion and/ore delay pedals) , it is able for you to record dry-track an the track with your pedals as well. You can do it with functions Send - Return.

Great quality interface

Was looking for an audio interface to work with a mac which was not firewire. I choose this USB interface because of what I read about the converters. What I read was true, This has much better converters than my previous interface.

Built in micpres are really good too, as well as the head phone amp! The build is very solid and the software worked right out of the box.

One of the best things about the unit is the support from Audient. My questions were handled personally by someone who really knows the unit.

I am very satisfied with the iD22. My microphones may change but the interface will stay. If you are looking for a great quality interface - I can highly recommend this one!
