Before this mic i recording on my TLM 102 and the reason i choose to buy it this mic is for upgrade cuz i feel with this mic neumann dont make any sense in my studio. i feel live i hear everything from neumann, i now very well, and nothing can make impress me. Now, with my new 4050 i feel i can do next level at my music, feel like i m in a new challange and ready to drive!

If u have money to buy this, buy it.

High quality all purpose large diaphragm

Audio Techinca is the first manufacturer to bring high-end microphones to a decent, human price. I have been using their microphones for the past 14 years, along with vintage Neumanns or Wunders, Telefunkens or Pelusos. It stays in the line, fulfilling every task beautifully: piano, guitar cabinet, acoustics, vocals, over-heads etc etc.

My AT relation ship began with AT4060(what a cool mic), which drove me to my 4050’s.

I will never forget the Japanese 3035 from AT!

Go for a 4050, an honest multi pollar pattern, that will stay with you for years!

Excellent mic!

This one became my favourite all-round mic to record vocals and a guitar at the same time (room) or separately. Details and frequency levels are superb. No high-freq boost whatsoever is pre-build or preconfigured in the mic. Highly recommended for male vocals and acoustic guitars, and probably for other different areas of application.
