Audio-Technica ATH-M20X Reviews
Great DJ\Hobby headphones
Great quality, super comfort on your head, sound is clear lacking some lower frequencies.
For its price id recommend it!
Incredibly good for the price
For the price they are great, and they compete to higher price headphones.
Pros: they cancel all sound outside, I can take them for hours without problems on my head and ears.
Cons: none so far.
Great headphones for tracking
Bought these because I needed a pair of headphones for tracking purposes because my studio doesn't have a separate control room. They are awesome! They really cancel out the noise and also don't bleed and ruin your recordings. They are way more comfortable than some similarly build headphones that I have. I could spent hours without feeling uncomfortable. Totally worth it!
Very good product.
Very good product and highly recommended.
okay
they are very comfortable . You can keep the a whole night without issues. The sound is okay but less bass.
Excellent headphones... for the price
All these five star ratings are given with the price in mind. There obviously are better-sounding headphones with better isolation etc, but for the sound is perfectly acceptable, as is the comfort level, so for the price it's a good deal. The material it's made from seems a bit flimsy, but my teenage son has been using it for a year now, also taking it with him when we're on holiday, and it's survived so far...
Really great for tracking
When compared to most low-cost headphone offerings, it's great to be able to get something like this from a reputable manufacturer which you know stems from a design made for studio use.
As a cousin of the M50 X variant, these are the cheapest in the range and after reading a few reviews I felt confident enough to buy 2 pairs for when I have musicians tracking in my home studio.
I intend to buy more in the future as its very nice to have all headphones with the same EQ fingerprint so that headphone preamp levels can be set the same and I can EQ the mixes all the same way, knowing that a 5db increase for one person will be the same for all.
An added bonus is that's I can carry these headphones around shoved in my laptop bag for a less critical listening - they're very enjoyable to listen to music on generally and despite a little bit too much warmth are smooth enough to be used for everything except surgical EQ.
They sound a little towards the home hifi end of tone, a little warmer and slightly loudness-character to them, but really smooth and pleasant all the same.
Compared to other studio closed cans for tracking, I really don't know why everybody isn't using these!
So good for the money - but they are nonetheless a plastic headphone and I suspect would survive being trodden on, but who cares, they are cheap to replace.
