Behringer A800 5-stars Reviews
Really good for the price
I found no other match for the price.
Best Price for PowerAmp
I did not bought it for studio monitor. I use it for the 600w bass cabinet on stage. I use this device to power my "SWR MM preamp". Definitely enough. It's nice that it's lightweight.
Excellent amp
I have to admit that I bought these amps when they were an incredible bargain at around 155 euros (bought 5 of them). Meanwhile the price has doubled.
Very silent excellent amp, stays cool. good connectivity... what else can you expect.
I use a few of them to drive subwoofers, but I also use it to drive huge JBL speakers.
At current price you might consider going Ncore, though I can't say there is much difference between them.
Used as Pre Amp
A great Pre amp, used for Atmos.
Very pleased
Very pleased with this product and delivery
A Behringer Amp that won't leave you with doubts
You really can't go wrong with this Class-D Amp.
It has lots of power to give , if loudness is a concern, without giving distorion. I find it perfect to power my passive speakers (Dali Spektor 2). It was the first one I got, and around this price point its one of the bests you can get.
Regarding its looks, some might say that the rackmount design is ugly, but I honestly like it a lot, and the meters are something that delights me.
Excellent no frills does what it says on the box amplifier.
Bought this for our studio to run passive sets of speakers.
Which it does very well😎👍
Excellent value for money 👍
Silence Is Golden
No fan so no noise, perfect for a one space studio. I use it to power my faithful old Auratones and have also used it for the occasional after show party, no not through the Horrortones . A transparent amp with enough power to give you some clean signal at high volume if you need it. No speaker thump turning on or off. I would suggest using this as a hi-fi amp too. Also, if you are a guitarist or anybody who uses amp modeling then you could pair this with a neutral speaker and have a light and powerful rig.
Tom Behringer
It's definitely an upgrade from my Krell.
Suprisingly great quality
I had heard a lot of raving over this amp in some audiophile forums, and ended up getting one for my studio monitors. I was honestly blown away by what an improvement this is over my old T.Amp. No noise can be heard at all, its dead quiet, and I have somewhat sensitive speakers at 90db@1m/1W.
There is no annoying "auto shutdown" that messes with it during low-volume listening, and the overall audio quality is remarkable.
I cant say how it performs in the low-end since I use an active sub with my setup, but they do a wonderfull job at driving my studio monitors, which are quite power hungry Snake monitors.
It is worth mentioning that this unit does get a bit hot, and should be placed very "airy", you cant stack anything on top of it really. It seems to stay the same warm temerature regardless of volume actually used.
In the end, this is an amazing amp at a crazy low price point.
You'll have to spend a looooot more than this to get this level of performance from another passive amp, thats for sure.
Espetacular, o som é fantastico. Estou muito satisfeito.
Spectacular, the sound is fantastic. I am very satisfied.
Very happy
Using this amp to power two passive speakers (a kick and a scoop custom built). I am really happy with this amps quality, and even though it's not that powerful it's making my scoop move greatly sending those low frequencies all across the room, making the walls and floor shake when I push it. The neighbours won't be happy, but at list I can get my sub-bass fix in my living room because no events during the pandemic :( thank you behringer for bringing the rave to my living room!
Very good amp, all you need to power speakers at home. I connect directly from my mixer via xlr output and route the signal to speakers about 10 to 20 meters away. The room is around 100 m2, I have never needed to crank it up to max levels. The sound can easily be heard at dancing levels, in the garden, outside where the speakers are.
I use it for myself and for parties at home.
The price is very low for what you actually get, of course the materials of the amp do not feel like top notch, however the performance, durability and sound are very good
Value for money
I am using this amp to power my left and right speakers in my 5.2.4 surround sound speaker system. It has fitted in perfectly using the pre outs from my Denon AV receiver into the amp. A trigger input would have been useful but since this is not really its intended application that is only a minor gripe. The increased power, clarity and headroom from my speakers has been most welcome when watching action movies and it has overall proved for me to be a worth while investment. I am considering purchasing a second amp switched in bridged mode to power my Centre channel speaker.
Great for recording studio
I picked this model for the fact that it is completely silent which is crucial in a recording studio and situations where amp might be close in proximity to recording sources/microphones. There is no mechanical cooling fan, therefore amp does not make any noise. Simple to use, reliable. With over 25 years of recording experience, I do recommend it.
Good value
Bought for a home studio using hifi speakers (Wharfedale).
Mounted in the rack easily, it's incredibly light for an amp.
Good variety of output connection types at the back.
Does the job well and looks good!
Best bang for your buck by miles.
The A800 has an attractive shiny black metallic finish on the fascia that looks attractive and doesn't seem to collect a lot of dust. I like that the gain controls are notched, it really helps to get a well balanced gain.
As someone who doesn't work in the trade I'd never considered a pro amp before because I naively assumed they were mostly all about watts with little concern for sound quality. However, after reading the technical measurements and recommendation on the audio science review website. I bit the bullet and bought this. Of course I I wasn't disappointed, It sounds every bit as good as my previous "hifi" amp costing four times as much. The A800 has a nice flat frequency response so it won't grate on you with extended listening. Has more than enough power for domestic use which guarantees it will always sound dynamic even when litening at more than tolerable levels.
If I was being really picky I would say it would be nice to be able to remove the rack mounts for domestic use but that's not it's target audience and as such not really a valid complaint.
Amazing what you can get for so little money these days.
Two thumbs up!!
Nice amp!
Good quality and superb sound!
Great for home studio applications
I bought this as a replacement for an old Samson power amp in my home studio. It's finless, which is the best part. I can't tolerate fan sounds.
This amp was easy to set up and install. It worked immediately and no issues whatsoever since. Good job Behringer.
