May be good quality, but not very usable

I bought this headphones for remote work with communication tools like zoom, etc. The audio quality of the sound in the headphones is more than enough for that and even for occasional music listening. But the bluetooth microphone, even if it has good characteristics in the specification, is almost useless. First, it does not work at all with linux ubuntu, and all my efforts with drivers etc. were useless. OK, I have also Samsung android tablet where it works, but the sound quality is _very_ bad, like in phone communication, more like 200-3000Hz. As far as I understood, this is more a problem of the bluetooth standard than this model specifically (Bose QC35 had the same problem), but it is useless and confusing to have a good microphone (presumably) and make it available only with bluetooth (no other microphone connection, the cable is only for the headphones). There is, of course, a chance that I missed some way to make it work, but all the search I did was not helpful (and it looks like a pessimistic consensus exists here)
