Behringer Control2USB Reviews
A successful product that appeals to medium-sized and professional levels.
Bust okay.
Byggekvaliteten er god og har en solid følelse. det er relativt enkelt å bruke og har en fin funksjon som jeg synes er intuitiv. My only issue with this product after over a year of using this, is that the two volume knob for the headset outputs has developed a nasty crackle when adjusting.
Very well designed & manufactured, excellent price/value ratio
It perfectly responds to my studio setup needs. Flexible, easy to use and reliable.
PErfect
Very good toy! Lots possibilities. I recommend
Exactly what I needed
Great for switching between multiple inputs and output. It has one big volume control and it is very easy to operate. It is bigger than I expected but does the job really well.
Unreliable
After just a couple of months of use, the sound comes out distorted. Checked everything in my chain, no issues, unfortunately this is a device of very poor quality. Quite expensive for a doorstop.
Buid quality is more than you expect, even is Behringer.
Versatil, good looking and in the conjunction with my Apollo X6 i can connect 3 pairs of monitors.
Difference in sound, between Apollo and Behringer is not affected to much.Just use high quality cables.
You can make great music.
Connect 4 different sources, soundcard, vinyl, laptop...etc
Totally recommended!
Excellent quality and functionality at an affordable price
I am using this since almost 1 year and I can say I am super satisfied with it and have done multiple recordings and live recordings even with it. If you are in the market for an all-in-one audio interface and need the occasional inputs and running multiple monitors/headphones or output devices, this is a great solution as it offers everything all-in-one and then some - including 2x headphone amplifiers. There are not many such solutions on the market with so many features and it's nice having it all in one controller otherwise you will have to get many seperate components, which if you are like me who does not have a ton of space, it's not a practical solution. you can't go wrong with it.
Good
I have used more than 1 year, quality products, beautiful designs
Nice surprise
Well i didn't expect the monitor controller to be as good as it is, for the money it really is a no-brainer.
Another Great Bit of Gear From Behringer
If I'm honest, it was a last minute purchase with other items that I needed but I was not disappointed. I replaced a small mixer in my home studio with this, though a considerably bigger foot print it is so much neater in managing several pairs of studio monitors and sources as well as headphones.
Very well made, robust and attractive but most of all practical. Functions are simple and obvious but numerous and the talk back function is a massive plus for something in this price range. More than enough inputs and outputs for most home studios it is a resourceful way of tidying your desk top up and has become a valued bit of gear in my studio. Behringer have done it again.
After Using for some time now I am over the moon.
Pros. Neat, precise function, robust and aesthetically pleasing. Excellent value.
Cons. Only one. It's a little hard to see the position of volume control, rectified with a thin cut piece of white tape to highlight the existing had to see marker.
A superb peace of studio equipment.
Fantastic value for money.
ITS ALRIGHT FOR WHAT YOU PAY
This device costs 118 euro...let that sink in.
again, this is just another one of those items I bought not expecting much from it, but I ended up enjoying the end results.
it is nothing like a cranesong unit or even like the new Audient Nero for instance, but it gets the job done.
This unit does emmit a few noises when the volume is past 2 o'clock, but like I said, I don't mind it.
its practical and has enough features to keep you entertained and happy. the price point is very important though...does a ton of things for what it costs
great and easy
really surprised product, great value for money
Behringer, but useful
A bit larger than i thought, but a really decent unit.
I use this for a 2 computer and Axe FX setup. It easily allows me to use headphones, 2 pairs of monitors and swithc between the two computers easily and efficently.
Quality seems decent for the price. But its Behringer so i dont expect it to take a beating. Perfectly fine for home use.
Sound seems completely fine with minimal noise at low to mid volumes. Can be a little noisy at higher volumes. 2 minor gripes with the sound is that a) the headphone control pots care a little iffy at very low volumes. b) When powering on/off it sends a pop to my KRKs triggering them to turn on.
But for the price, it cannot be beaten.
Did the engineer suffer from hearing loss?
Edit: After just a few months of of use, all nobs are now cracking and hopping back and forth in level, as well as increasing the volume uneven for left and right. I wouldn't suggest this gear even to my worst enemy.
The phono preamp on this controller is so bad I wonder if the engineer that designed it either suffer from hearing imparement or never heard of the RIAA curve in the first place. while the midrange comes out correct, the 6000hz+ is almost 15dB too loud while the low range is lacking. I had to bypass the build in phono preamp and use the behringer ultra compact phono preamp to make this usable. so an extra device in the connection chain. TL;DR if you buy this with the idea of adding a record player to your setup, look elsewhere.
A promising device, but eventually flaws got out
Use
I bought this device to control 2 monitors
Focal alpha 8
Adam f7
This unit did it with this task perfectly.
Clarity
All was good until a certain point, namely: the volume knob began to wheeze.
Pros
- price VS features
- can work as a sound card via USB (very useful sometimes)
- up to 3 different monitor pairs
- 4 stereo inputs with independent level - I connected my electronic drums, pads and soundcard, and I had one more input for some reasons (for DJ staff with RCA, for example)
Cons
- the volume knob is not reliable
Total
A very convenient and versatile device for its price, but over time can fail
Excellent product very versatile
I use the bringer Control2 as a main monitoring station, to replace the need for mixer.
The fact that it give me so many routing and monitoring options is crazy, when you factor in that this also can be a stand alone audio interface with 192khz quality to boot. Although it doesn't quite beat my motto 896HD its still good value for money and definitely an improvement on my work flow.
Its easy to use with minor learning curve, only regret is there are no XLR outs for the speakers, but a minor grumble at best considering functionality.
Great product
A joy for anyone who likes buttons
The ability to switch between my PC, my laptop, TV and my Bluetooth receiver is so much fun, in the way only pressing buttons can be.
Previously tried a few cheap mixers for this purpose, but found them lacking in the simplicity department (and in the output department), but overkill in some other parts.
Considering the price it is pretty amazing.
