Great for bar / restaurant speakers

I've used these with JBL Control 1s. The low impedance of those speakers means I prefer not to run more than one from an amp channel, so multi channel amps are more convenient... and this Behringer does a great job in that environment. No built in DSP obviously, but at this price that's understandable. I've matched mine with the t.racks mini DSP.

Works well, but be careful of the airflow

The good:

- Compact 1U amp, capable of useful power outputs. I used it for installation in a small venue where it would be used for background music and spoken word announcements, and it's doing the job just fine.

- Back panel switches allow useful signal routing, such as splitting an input to two outputs, bridge mode, etc.

- Combi input connectors are also welcome at this level.

- Feels well-built and solid

- Sounds fine for what it is. Don't expect super-HiFi quality.

The bad:

- Be careful of the airflow. You might expect it to be front-to-sides or similar, but it's actually from one side to the other. That's not great for rack mounting (in my case, the amp was just sat on a shelf, so that's okay). The front vents appear to be almost decorative.

The odd airflow loses it a couple of stars.

Very good small and cheap amplifier especially for restaurants etc. where sound and power should be separated. So far, I have had no complaints wherever in use. Recommended for smaller restaurants and coffee bars.

Great little amp

Bought this for my passive foldback speakers as a replacement for an ageing T.amp. Much more sound clarity with this, took all the mudiness ourt of the midrange and gave the musicians a much better perspective on how they sounded. I always assumed it was the speakers that were causing this but it turned out not to be the case. Only slight down is that the fans are a little noisy however I swapped them for some super silent ones and it is now as quiet as a mouse. 4 channels, or bridged mode and really simple controls and tiny, so I can hide it. Dead impressed for the price.

Fantastic 4 channel lightweight amplifier

Perfect for powering on stage monitors where you don't need a tonne of power but do want to keep your rack foot print down.

Channels can be bridged to provide more oomph if necessary.

Incredibly lightweight for its functionality.

Very good power amplifier

I'm very satisified with this product. I've used it to setup a four zone sound system in conjuction with a four channel audio mixer and it worked fine.

Amp Review

Great value and excellent sound quality for the price... this particular amp served the club proud and I would highly recommend... the only issue with it was the dust filter! which we ended up removing from inside the case to allow the amp to breath more efficiently :)
