the must have gear

I'm still confused on how to make my own presets, but the factory presets of this product are very great. Definitely recommend it

used mainly at end of fx chain supplying delay and reverb. The unit does a very decent job for the price range. The feel is pretty solid and it has a very convenient bypass button. thumbs up overall.

Packed with cool features in an impossible to use interface, and poor hardware quality

The features are good, the interface is impossible to use and understand - but most important, the item arrived broken electrically on arrival. Nothing to do with shipping, there's a horrible electric buzzing.

The good: the FX2000 is packed with features, though most of them are FX based.

The bad: the documentation is TERRIBLE! Trying to figure out the vocoder or midi function.. impossible.

The ugly: The EQs and Parametric EQs are nowhere near the UltraCurve, the UI is impossible to understand or navigate, and the product arrived 'factory broken'.

Still, I've asked for a replacement - it's a nice toy, and assuming I get a working model, it's going to be, at least, entertaining.

Could be better

Sound quality is not so good

Wow...

This unit is incredible. It costs the same price as a typical effect pedal yet is loaded with high quality reverbs, delays, modulations and pitch shifters. I'm blown away.

If your amp has an FX loop, buy this. You will not be disappointed and instead will be delighted at the sounds coming from it for such a low price.

Nice FX Processor

plent plenty features - its not so easy to navigate - but once you get the hung of it, it is fine.

So much bang for the buck

I picked this up on a whim after seeing it going so cheaply and needing a new all-in-one solution for my small home. I was not disappointed.

The build quality is really good for the price. Solid metal, and buttons are OK and should last fine. I found the menus a bit weird at first, but that's something a bit of manual reading easily fixes. The sound is not excellent though. It's good, no problems there. The reverbs are a bit uninspiring and you'd be better served getting a dedicated reverb unit if you have issue with this. But there's tons of features and it does these all pretty damned well for the price. So, buying it for an all-in-one thing is exactly what I wanted. There's some nice little features like being able to trigger the start point of effects, cycles and so on via MIDI.

I mostly use this for noodling on guitar and experimenting before trying to record something (because again, there's better reverb out there), but I predominantly use it for synths, and in that regard it has been serving me VERY well indeed. It's great at tweaking the sound to sit it in the mix fine.

All you need

Is a great addition to our stage set-up, combined with the RX1202. Delivers great sound on live venues.

Nice for the price

Nice for the price.

Features a rich and full delay.

very easy to work

Negative point - some noise that gets amplified by the silence of the instruments or the voice.

In general, it's a good device.

Behringer FX2000 3D FX Processor

Excellent sounds at a great price.

This unit provides some very classy reverbs and a multitude of other quality effects. It is excellent value for money and has very good connectivity with balanced inputs and outputs. It can be quite complicated to use if you want it to be but if you choose to stick to the library of pre-set sounds it's both easy and versatile. I really don't see the point in spending a whole lot more money on some of the high end fx units. This one performs exceptionally.

Good performance for the price

I've owned the FX2000 for a few years now and I have been pleased with it. The effects are fairly standard - nothing truly remarkable, but plenty of useful everyday effects.

The delay and chorus presets are very good, as well as a surprisingly decent Leslie speaker emulation. Reverbs are solid. There are a number of novelty effects like a vocoder, vinyl record simulator, vocal canceller (presumably for kareoke). They are awful and frankly I'd rather there had been some more reverb programs instead. Although you cannot freely combine effects, there is a handful of combination programs such as 'chorus & delay', 'delay & reverb' that do the job OK.

There is very little signal noise, so I am impressed in that regard - especially considering the low price. The build quality is pretty good, the only problem I have had is that occasionally segments of the LED display flicker and dim. The knobs and buttons have held up well in my studio.

I would definitely recommend this to anybody looking for lots of decent effects. For the price, you can't go wrong.

Behringer FX2000 3D FX Processor

I had been very prejudiced against Behringer but gave in and added this to my equipment, because it is one of their better products and is just very good value for money. The Behringer FX2000 3D FX Processor is partly aimed at the same kind of market as the Alesis MidiVerb 4 and other similar 19 inch effect rack units. But there is more, much more. You will not find psychoacoustic processing elsewhere at anywhere near this price. There's an exciter too and various programs to enhance the stereo image that you won't get on other budget effect units. There are twelve reverb types and the delays include a tape echo simulator and ping pong delay. There's the usual effects like various types of flanger, phaser, chorus and pitch shifting. There are a number of other features like compressor, expander, gate, limiter, ultramizer, de-esser, de-noiser, ultra wide, binauralizer. It has guitar amp simulation, speaker simulation, and much more, even a centre canceller (for karaoke). Watch out for the razor sharp edges on the rack ears though! As well as the instruction manual which comes in the box, there is a more comprehensive version about the FX2000 which you can download from Behringer's site.

Many effects for a reasonal price but...

With this unit you have many usable effects at your disposal. The interface is intuitive and easy to handle. The full explanation of the unit with description of all the presets and effects are unfortunately in 2 separate download files being the 'user manual' and the 'Quick start guide'.(should be 1 file) Most of the presets need to be parameter adjusted before you can use them in practice; Attention some presets are VERY LOUD, As a preventive mode lower the volume to a bare minimum each time you turn the presets knob to avoid to blow your speakers when you select (by accident) one of these noisy presets. Also be aware that you can most of the time only select one effect (except the combined presets and stereo effects) but indeed for this price you cannot have everything. The sound quality is OK but adding the unit to you chain (pre-amp, mixing panel, amp etc) will significantly increase the background noise level. All by all good quality and features for a very reasonable price

Behringer won me over...

I wasn't sure how good this effects processor would be, but in all honesty, I can say it is really quite impressive!

There are limitations of course (such as combining effects and in-depth parameter fiddling) but on the whole, the unit delivers the goods.

For a start, the delays are really sweet - the tape echo being especially engaging, and the auto-pan having plenty of depth and definition.

The rotary, leslie and pitch shifter type effects also shine - and in my opinion are on par with those by much more expensive brands. The reverbs, if anything, are a little uninspiring - although I am accustomed to Lexicon PCM reverbs - but for live use (and possibly even some studio use) they are certainly useable.

Some of the effects, such as the Vinyl and Lo-Fi are pretty useless in my opinion, but hey - you might find use for them on a rainy day.

Overall, Behringer have made a great product here, and although I've snubbed them in the past - I really do think they make some fantastic affordable equipment. I'll definitely be buying more from them in the future...
