Behringer Model D 5-stars Reviews
Deep SYNth
If you once know how you like the sound to rise and drop back! Who needs preset's. Great machine!!!
Old School Analog synthesizer
very good quality synthesizer, with a very nice sound, but the only negative is that every time you need to program it again. It does not have a patcher (saver for Presets).
Minimoog for the masses
I always fancied a Minimoog, but the price of originals or even the Moog reissues makes that simply impossible. Who can afford thousands for a single note?!? Ok, *some* people, but I'm not in that elite company!
The Model D provides the same sound and the same interface in mini-form, with one or two sensible upgrades (separate LFO, MIDI, etc) and throws in a load of patch points and eurorack compatibility too. It's a no-brainer.
Great!
1st experience with synths, and amazing! Especially for the price
Overall satisfied
Great piece of equipment. IDK if you are here reading this than you probably know about its capabilities. I am satisfied with the quality of the case and knobs. The delivery took less than a week and the package came in good condition.
cant go wrong with this
very nice sounding synth. I use it mainly for bass sounds but it can do pretty much anything from drone to leads. lots of flexibility too.
build quality is far better than i expected. Metal enclosure, good quality knobs, feels sturdy and far above its price point.
Just arrived
I just received and haven't used it. But it looks great, well packaged and assembled. The set includes two cables, a power supply for Euro sockets and instruction.
Simple and an easy playfull way to freak around
it does what it says. good old simple filter, nice osc.
just freak around.
its an easy way to start with playing around with synths.
good bass,
good layers, ( depending how you set it )
overall,
Nice
Good sound. Fun to use. Knobs are too close to each other.
the best price\quality ratio
I have changed my attitude towards this company. It's just an incredible instrument, it sounds like an original mooq.
Fantastic!
Just like the Moog, cant hear any different. Its small and easy to bring
Good Synth
The synth is good and close to Model D but I disliked how small it is. Overall not bad sounds but tuning was a bit difficult due to small knobs.
What can i say at this price point, very close to Minimoog at affordable price.
Sounds like a moog
I was looking for a small "moog bassline box" and Model D is great for that! You can get very creative with this Boog and squeeze some great signature moog sounds out of it
Brillian synth.
I would never get tired of listening to this, its bass is so deep it cuts through everything. Can fill out whole tracks bottom end on its own while sounding like a roaring dinosaur. Unreal.
Great synth
For the price of 299 euro you get a great synth
The size and sound quality are great!
Very useful in my studio
Great Boog
Behringer providing a great cheap alternative to a classic synth that's no longer available and also very expensive. For under €300 every producer or synth collector needs one of these in their collection. Zero issues, build quality is great. Has served me well for pads, leads, basses and textures. Grab one of these. Don't let synth purists tell you otherwise.
Great Buy For a First Analog Synth
This was highly recommended to me by 2 different teachers at my sound and music university as a great starting synth by a budget price and well, it answered my expectations.
The sound is really great and there are many sonic possibilities here, from some smooth atmospheric ambient soundscapes to acid bass and harsh noise. I really like the finishing and for someone with small hands, the knobs are quite alright. I really like what I managed to make with it so far and it is really a great synth to own if you're getting started in this world, I think if I went to a complete modular synth it would be a bit too much to grasp in the beginning and could be overwhelming.
My only problem is that sometimes the tuning is a little off, sometimes is just right, depends on how long it's working and getting hotter.
For the price, this synth is really worth it and I strongly recommend it!
High quality and authentic sounding
They've got the Moog sound nailed 100%. All the features of the original seem to be present and correct plus a few improvements - notably MIDI. Build quality is excellent. It's solid and all the pots and switches have a high quality feel to the way they work. No sign of cutting corners to engineer it down to a price. At this money it really is fantastic.
great synth, great value
I use this synth in the studio, sometimes teamed up with Neutron.
I love the sound this synth produces
It has great connectivity for modular gear
the only down side is the tuning, it does get more out of tune the more octaves you go.
there is though a trim pot inside and this helps regulate the tuning.
that said, I never used such wide octaves and never had much of a problem, still a great sounding synth
Amazing value for the price
Great option if you are looking for an affordable copy of a Moog. Also, it does not take up a lot of space which is nice for a bedroom setup.
