Behringer MPA40BT Reviews
Great value for money
Have used these at small events for a few years now, very durable, insane value for money.
I could recommend
I like it a lot - the size and design are great, superb battery life and well balanced sound, with deep bass. Bluetooth function also works fine.
I use it to listen music and like amp for acoustics guitar and vocal mic. Does the job well. Unfortunately, after some use, the knob for the master volume, starts to crackle when turned up and down at one position, but still could be used.
It will be really good to have dedicated controls for bass and treble for every input, not one for all, but for that price I find it good deal.
The Best BT speaker I would need
It is loud and sounds very good. Price is good and you can use it for a long time. USB can also keep your phone or tablet from dying outside.
You can also use it as small PA or monitor on a stand.
Pros: 12h Battery, Bluetooth, has mic inputs, compact.
Cons: non I can think of
Excellent value
I use this speaker outdoors for voice amplification only. It was the best value option by miles. I just want people to hear the preaching, I'm no audiophile. The battery can be replaced after a while which makes this a good investment. I am not interested in the wireless features for the mics because they are expensive and reduce the audio quality.
Prety solid
While I don't have much experience with speakers like this one, I can definitely say that it has pretty good sound quality, It can get really bassy and it's good that you have EQ settings to change it up.
Minor issue I've found is that (if left ON) and it reaches almost 0% battery it starts to produce a wierd sound that keeps increasing in volume (kinda starts to sound like someone is drilling in your house) and it absolutely scared me one night lol
No effects
This is a fantastic amp for streaming music. If you are using this amp as a busking tool it has plenty volume and easy carry around, but unfortunately there are no built in effects like reverb or echo for the vocal or guitar, so the sound can be a bit dry.. this is my only issue.
It’s Ok for the price.
Lots of features but
Great power love the bluetooth stuff the eq and the two inputs and battery is superstrong!
not so good preamp for mics definetely need an external preamp and weird function of the build in limiter! It has weird release time affecting me when playing live music really loud!
What a noise!
This little box is lightweight, full of features and sounds brilliant. The battery lasts ages too. Everyone who I have shown this bit of kit to have all been impressed. I like the way that when you DO crank it up beyond, what should be, its limit, it sounds like it has some sort of compressor in; which is good because everyone in my house likes it loud! It is well built and not feels like it can last the test of time.
All in all, very much worth the money, really impressed. Not something for you audiophiles, but for those garden parties, camping trips or tunage where there is no power - buy one now!
This thing is solid (and heavy)
Great speaker to have at home for parties, sounds full, is discreet, built like a tank and battery lasts forever.
Not a studio monitor by any means, but perfect for casual listening at a bbq outside or for busking.
Great speaker for small acoustic gigs, busking and overall outdoors use
Battery life is good - one charge is enough for a week for occasional bluetooth music and/or playing instruments, plus you can change the battery in the future. Sound is great for small acoustic venues - played a little concert in a beach bar for about 20 people - carries through nicely. Easy controls and knobs - everything is straightforward. Satisfied with this piece.
Awesome
This is a great piece of kit and widely admired by all who've seen it. I use it for a battery powered keyboard (Yamaha Reface cp50, through a basic compressor) and a nylon string electro-classical guitar. It amplifies both nearly as well as other much more expensive non-battery powered amplifiers. I also use it arounf the house as a portable speaker, and it amplifies the music from my phone (mainly jazz) really nicely, with a warm rich sound, plenty of bass.
Only criticism - it would be good if they made a bag for it. I bought a side opening rucksack, which does the job, though.
Best value battery powered speaker
Having had a £185.00 battery powered speaker for some years from gear4music which i used mainly for playing music whilst setting up & breaking down my mobile DJ rig.
I was forced to look for another when the amplifier panel failed and gear4music just said they dont supply any spares?
I then came across the Behringer MPA40BT! Not only is it a fraction of the weight and has much better quality sound! But also has bluetooth connectivity as well as rca lead connections, but at just under £135 delivered I can,t believe the quality for the money!!!
Didnt bother with getting the wheeled version as this speaker is easily picked up in one hand. And at 40 watts and being very cIear it will be great to keep the party going if there is a mains power failure which is always a worry when DJing.
Bluetooth battery powered speaker
i was looking for a simple way to boost volume for bass and guitar for house meetings and a way to be able to play back round music without having to hunt for a wall power socket.
having had a number of other behringer products they were the first company i looked to. they are very good at designing products for those of us who dont have a big budget.
this is a great mini PA with 2 jack/xlr inputs and one Bluetooth/phono input with a volume control for each and a master volume, bass and treble control. it uses a normal power cable for charging or plugged in use which means no searching for special power packs.
one thing that would have been nice to have is a line out so it could be used with another powered speaker.
battery life is great and this unit is as cheap as many brand name Bluetooth speakers that only have the Bluetooth connection and the sound quality and volume blows them out of the water
Multi-purpose dream for summer day
It is my day off and I am building another patio in my garden - I went to my warehouse and picked "Berry Battery" with me - came back home and placed it under umbrella 20 meters from my doorsteps, where I was sitting with my iPad - connected via bluetooth - iPad was connected to internet via wifi through three walls and about 8 meters - I had couple small dropouts - but since it was raining I did not start roaming around to find out if it was bluetooth or wifi. I suppose normally I would use bluetooth about max 10 meters ...
I did some listening from youtube - Tommy Emmanuel, Classical Gas - Vivaldi, Four seasons, Winter - Queen, We will rock you - Mark Knopfler, Sailing to Philadelphia - Carly Simon, You´re so vain - Chet Atkins, Vincent - plus all commercials, which were mostly speech. - Paul Anka, You are my destiny ...
At 75-80dB listening level across the yard I felt quite comfortable - sound was clear, no hifi, but very acceptable - high end is a bit harsh - low end is fine with moderate levels.
Speaker is supplied with a microphone, that has very boomy sound - with a good microphone this little cabinet sounds good and clear.
- all in all I am very pleased with it - only thing that annoys me are high/long knobs, that might be knocked off by careless handling - perhaps I change them to shorter ones.
Cosmetically it looks elegant enough to go to any trade show, wedding etc.
