Flat and lifeless

Ok, it's a budget amp, but at least be as good as your competitors. I coubght this alongside the T-Amp 4-700 and unfortunately I was not impressed. I was hoping this would win as it is a very light 4 channel amp at a good price.

The audio was ok, but lifeless, whereas the T-Amp felt more musical. Build quality was ok, but again not as good as the T-Amp. This may have been down to them wanting to keep the weight down though. It was also not as loud as the T-Amp but that may have been a positive thing as it wasn't as sensate on the inout gains so didn't hiss as much as the T-Amp.

Now for the bad thing, those fans! The literature says that the fans have adjustable speed and being a class D runs very cool. This gives you the impression that it would be a quiet running amp, and even at times switch the fans off. Well on ticker they were loud, and I mean loud. You could not use this for example in an cinema install. I also never heard them change speed at any point so was very disappointed.

Was it a bad amp? No, but it never excited me and due to that I returned it.

Still evaluating

Ive used this amplifier with all the four channels powering separate tops and thought it was lacking in power in mono mode 8 ohm load. But this amplifier shines when in bridge mode. Ive driven 3 double 18 inch subs on a single bridged channel and it handled well without heating at all. However ive noticed that when in bridge mode, channel A is no longer as sensitive as channel B
