Behringer PMP 4000 5-stars Reviews
Perfect for solo gigs
I have just purchased this mixer as a part of a bundle . It is perfect for my solo gigs in bars and clubs ,and also works great with an electric trio or four piece.. I also bought the Thon flight case to transport it ,but it is quite robust without it..
All the power you need
The pmp 4000 has all the power you will need from a very versatile mixing desk ,.easy to use with great fx built in, my go to mixing desk for rehearsals and live gigs.
Excellent System
Great sound and user friendly
PMP 4000
I have had this Mixer /Amp for a few years now . been used regulary for practise and gigs. Has never let us down. We use it with powered and ( none powered speakers at home for practise). Great sound reproduction, lots of channels for our guitars, mics and keyboard as well as our tablet for backing tracks for solo singers and friends. There is enough nobs and faders etc for any person that has a fetish for constant adjustments (fiddlers). The mixer give's a nice rich sound reproduction accross all our instruments and setting up our mics wheather powered or none powered. Overall this is a pretty good piece of kit and we are pleased with it. Might update in the next year or so but will look at same brand Behringer with USB connection.
Very good power mixer.
Price to purchase ratio very good.
Quality Product
Hi, I bought this desk over a year ago and use it weekly in Church with our Gospel Group. The ease of use and quality of sound is exceptional for the price and is so much better than our old system. We have also used the desk for a couple of concerts with no problems. I would recommend that you buy a flight case to protect your investment. With ease of use and quality sound you cannot go wrong. Just the job
This has saved my back literally! I'm now able to carry the PA with one hand, rather than lug a huge box about and ask for help carrying it!
The sound is quality, as you can adjust settings to your liking. It's powerful enough for a loud band in medium sized venues. Has 2 PA monitor outs, which is brilliant, as my guitarist no longer complains the main vocals are too loud in his monitor! Quality, and yet affordability, and mobility and enough power for a small band all in one package. Great, thanks Behringher!
The item is very good
The item is very good and the service is very professional.
Behringer PMP4000
Bought recently as an upgrade and so far does everything it supposed to. For the money, this has to be one of the best value for money purchases. I've tested it with two different active speakers and a passive alternative.........great results!
This is intended for use in bars and occasional outside performances. The tests I performed were outside using 1. Peavy 600w 4ohm peak passive 2. Fun Generation 800w peak active and RCF 400w RMS active.
Great crisp sound from the RCF all the way to full volume, good upto mid volume with the Fun Generation and very good once at about 3/4 and upwards volume with the peavy.
Excellent Desk For The Price
I've been using this desk in bars and small clubs for some time now, it's really good quality, great clear sound, powerful and the effects are decent.
Very Happy
Been using this for around two years now on a regular basis. Well constructed. Good features (at least the ones have learned to use!) It produces good power for the four speaker set-up we have. The mixing is noiseless and smooth. What more can I say? It was worth every penny.
A solid purchase so far.
Use
We use this desk as part of a bundle we bought (with some TBox 15" speakers) with out 3 piece covers band, drums guitar and bass. We mic up only the kick drum and 2 vocals for most gigs and this powered desk will fill any room we have taken it too. Combined with the very good TBox speakers we get a good even sound across the whole room. The 2 monitor channels are a fantastic feature. The feedback detection works perfectly. This is well made and would recommend to anyone.
Pro's - fantastic sound, loud and clear, fills any room fantastic value for money
Cons - I would recommend a case or hard protective lid to cover the controls as even though this is a well made desk, I would not tour with it without a case.
Great tone and power from a compact desk.
This mixer delivers a clean (as indicated in manual) 300w RMS into 8 ohm per channel or 600w RMS to 4 ohm per channel into my PA502 speaker.
The mixer is yet to be maxed out and has more than enough power for even the outdoor party I used it for.
The only thing I wish it had, was a sweepable mid eq on each channel and for the love of god A SUBGROUP!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, still a quality mixer and well worth the money.
Good powerful desk
A good desk with a lot of great features.
It lacks a couple of features that the PMP6000 has.
This one has no overall "standby" button and the EQ is restricted to Low/Mid/High where the PMP6000 has Fequency selector for EQ on each channel.
There are also more FX options on the larger pmp6000
But all in all this is great. I use it as a backup for my PMP6000 and sometimes use it for smaller gigs. It's nice and light which helps a lot too!
I use it to power 2 sx300s and then use an active sub.
Lovely sounding desk
Was very happy with this desk. Great sound and plenty of power, not too heavy either.
Mixing desk
The behringer pmp 4000 is a very compact and light weight mixing desk which I use for small Venus and churches. It is an adequate power outage for small venues and functions are easily accessible.
Versatile amplified mixer - Lots of channels and controls
When we bought this item, we didn't have powered speakers, so it had to be a powered mixer. We got good results straight away in a music group which had many instruments and didn't require a high volume of sound. That's just as well, because the amp isn't really very powerful. Now we use it with one or more Behringer powered speakers; this because we have them, and because we like their sound. On reflexion, we'd have done better getting one or two powered speakers first and buying a mixer without power, which would have been lighter. I'm glad nevertheless, that someone is still making a powered mixer with lots of connectivity. It's a fantastic amp for a semi-acoustic group with a low budget and and lots of instruments or mics to plug in.
5 Stars
Awesome desk, light, huge options, very powerful, nice clean sound
Good Value Desk.
I use this desk for a 9-piece soul band so we have 4 vocals going through it as well as, keyboards, percussion and 3 horns. The desk handles everything with aplomb (using it with Bose 802 speakers). I particularly like the layout of the desk with it's accessible monitor volume fader rather than the knob you normally get for the monitors. This makes it easier to make adjustments mid set whilst I am playing bass! I haven't had the need to use the Feedback adjustment system yet and I feel the 'voice canceller' is a bit gimmicky and unnecessary on a desk of this quality.
Overall though, excellent kit for the money.
Good sound quality, sturdy piece, simple to use
I bought this PA desk to use with various music projects I'm involved with. Not being a sound engineer - but being passionate about good sound quality - I find this desk perfect. Good preamps, enough features to have proper control over the sound yet simple to use and oversee what's happening. Very happy with the built-in effects as well. This is a perfect size powered desk for a small acoustic band, can be controlled well by even someone who just has very basic knowledge of sound engineering. Being able to have 2 separate monitor mixes is another fantastic feature.
