Behringer Powerplay P2 Reviews
Very noisy amplification
Adds a lot of noise to the line
Good value for the money
The unit does what it says. Alle features work, it's built moderately okay. It can take a drop, but the opening/closing system is not the greatest. Especially the battery does not have a real snug fit. You really need to take care to check the battery placement for connection. Furthermore this is a very useful product for low profile wired monitoring. Love the stereo over 1 cable feature. Did not have any noise issues so far. At this pricepoint, definitely worth the buck.
Just Get One
For the small sum of £30, it's just brilliant. Not all gigs I play where I'm using my in-ears need a wireless transmitter. This hard wired belt pack is perfect for smaller bar & pub gigs, even rehearsal rooms & home practise. No low end loss here, a perfect full range sound every time.
Using an XLR it works in mono only. The XRL cable also locks in to the P2 (so you won't accidentally pull out the XLR cable mid gig), as long as the XLR connector on the cable has that small locking tab. Most do, some don't. If you open up the P2 (like when to change batteries) you'll see there's a mono/stereo switch mounted on the PCB. In stereo mode you can connect a stereo jack cable and have a stereo mix. The jack doesn't lock in though, be careful not to pull it out by accident. Having the mono/stereo choice is fantastic.
Even though two AAAs last for many hours, I recommend getting rechargeable batteries & a charger if you're going to use the P2 a lot. Which you probably will if you buy one.
If you want to use in-ears, you need one of these. If you already have a wireless for your in ears, you still need one of these. Even just as a cheap back up in case your wireless battery dies in the last set of the gig, or to use at band practise, you need one of these.
Very Sturdy and very reliable
This thing is built to last and it of high quality in both its build and how it sounds. the only one minor thing I would say is that the clip, while being totally useable and solid pulls away from the casing like a spring if you're too heavy handed. Otherwise it is very very good and well worth the price
Great
These are great. Give everyone in my band in ear monitors cheaply
works perfect
its as advertized is very nice i use it all the time on gigs never let me down
The whole ensemble uses it
Sound quality is good, no problems, otherwise satisfactory product. Only the build quality is lacking a little - the belt clip started to loosen after a while, but not to the point it would be unusable.
Most satisfying pro tool that I bought
On stage or not I'm using behringer powerplay p2 to hear my bass guitar. Battery life is almost two months. I have paired behringer powerplay p2 with shure se 215 monitors. Did not have any problems or so. Behringer powerplay p2 is pricewise for the win product. I highly recommend. If you have no problem with cables this is the solution for hearing.
Bang for the buck, good quality and sound, useful for commentary position. A very useful tool.
Everything seems alright. Seems a little bit fragile when you have to change the batteries but otherwise good for its price
Best in its class!
Meets the requirements and it does what it should in a reliable fashion. For those on a budget or with minimum needs, exactly what the Doctor ordered. Beste Kaufempfehlung!
Reliable and worksgreat
I play in a loud band with two drummers so using in-ears makes a huge difference.
The P2 pre-amp offers great sound quality and is built like a tank. A bargain for the price.
reliable
i use it for live, for 7 days a week 5 sets per day. for a month and a half i used two sets of batteries, the second one is still going strong.
STAND UP !
PERFECT TO STAND UP FRONT CAMERA POSICION.
Great for stage in-ear monitoring
I use this headphone amp combined with shure SE215 for in-ear monitoring on live stage. I think this combination is the least expansive quality in-ear monitoring solution. This model is a huge improvement on the p1 model. The fact that it can work both in mono /stereo and passive/active modes is really effective. Also the weight and feel of the unit is really great even when using batteries. To sum up, this is by no doubt a great solution for musicians looking for low cost quality in-ear monitoring.
Great product.
We have only used last weekend, and it made a huge difference for our vocalists to have their own mix. The only slight issue was one of the batteries moved and lost power. I may add somethng to pad out the battery enclosure.
Used as for cable in-ear monitor for a guitarist. Works fine.
Great wired in ear monitoring system!
For that price, it can not get any better than this, recommended!
Great amp for small stages or studio
I bought this for my studio, because of its flexibility and ease of use. it has option to switch between stereo and mono, in stereo you must use unbalanced connections, but thats not a problem in most cases. Amp sounds great, however you might run into clipping if used on loud stages.
Body is made of metal, is rigid and strong.
I highly recommend this for anyone looking for cheap portable headphone amp for studios or small stages.
In ear monitoring on budget
If you like to have IEM with low budget, this device is the enabler you need. Sound is really okay, only downside is XLR cable and thus weight on your belt. Needs good quality batteries, but overall great device for good money.
