Boom boom boom, bang for the buck
A classic sound, loud, techno, boom boom. I like it, easy to program, easy to use, expressive enough. OK, if you want variation you need to turn knobs, but the (meanwhile > â¬2000) original also has that as a strength. With this machine you get an original, with more control, and some FX, and full midi controllable triggers. Behringer did a good job on this one. One minor remark on the "keyboard style" programming knobs. They are rubber pad contact ones, and on my particular machine, the last four knobs have a slightly different feel. For the rest, I'm fully happy with the machine.

A GREAT DrumMachine but... it's not a TR-909!

Plus, the inclusion of MIDI connectivity adds versatility to my setup. Sound-wise, the RD-9 nails it. The analog circuitry delivers warm and punchy sounds reminiscent of classic drum machines, yet it also offers the flexibility to sculpt and shape your own unique sounds. The range of presets is impressive, covering everything from crisp hi-hats to booming kick drums. One of the standout features for me is the sequencer. It's incredibly powerful yet straightforward to use, allowing me to create complex rhythms with ease. I appreciate the ability to chain patterns together and create full-length tracks without any hassle. Overall, the Behringer RD-9 is a must-have for any musician or producer looking to add authentic drum sounds to their setup. With its combination of quality construction, versatile sound engine, and intuitive interface, it's become an essential part of my studio rig. Highly recommended! But it lacks the imperfections and feeling of the old Roland TR-909... RD-9 it's 'too' good and complete to be the acclaimed 909!

I use this for most of my music and its really good. I have recorded many drum hits from this instrument and i keep using it again and again.
