Stereo channel monster...

Well, simple is often the best solution. This mixer from Behringer is quite something! Extreme value for money is the first factor to be reckoned. Ease of use, check! Solid built, check! Sound wise, well above average (my first impression). For my needs (synths, iPad, drum machine, my guitar too… it seems the FINAL solution. In my case, a small home studio setup, just for fun. Yes, I know, this mixer has no compression or equalisers but I don’t see that as a downside in any way, given this fantastic price/quality.

Yes, I’m quite satisfied! Break a leg…!

For the price you can't complain at all.

Good quality, acceptable noise nothing major. Easy to install and works great.

Clean, noise-free sound

I bought it as a sub-mixer for Behringer RD-9.

After plugging all channels in, I must admit that the sound quality is very clean (transparent). I don't feel like there's any sound degradation. Also, the level of noise is very low to the point that I can't hear it in daily operation.

It's a very good and cheap mixer. It doesn't add character or anything like that, which is expected in this price range. But as a mixer or sub-mixer, it works really well.

Perfect for my setup

Perfect for mixing the outputs of a bunch of synths, enabling to record it using a 2-inputs audio interface.

I use the 'send fx' for sending audio through my Vermona Filter Lancet.

Low noise, if any.

If 16 inputs (8 stereo) are enough, this mixer will suit you just fine.

Compact, quality build and great sound

An absolutely great utility mixer if you really need to mix a stack of boxes on a budget.

Voor deze prijs niet twijfelen. Kortom samengevat TOP product dat er tevens in slaagt enkele duurdere concurrerende merken te overschaduwen.

A great cheap way to connect all of my Synths to my interface!

This product works AMAZINGLY for it's price, it sounds pretty great, and is pretty flexible, you get to connect everything to it in either mono or stereo, get individual controls over 8 different channels, and global visual feedback (not per individual channel).

I do get a bit of hissing on high volumes, but I can't tell if it comes from the RX, my synths, cables or interface.

Overall I'm really happy with it, and it was a great way to get all of my synths and more into the instrument jack of my interface for dirt cheap!!

Highly recommended if you need to get many channels into one output without breaking the bank! :)

16 Channel mixer

This unit is ideal if like me you have multi keyboards and other line out instruments if you want to practise looking for sounds or play live without going through a computer.

It is well built and feels really good quality and the sound is superb for its cost. Ideal for a home studio.

Great line mixer

I don't understand the negativity around the Behringer brand - never had an issue with any of their kit. Wanted a line mixer to handle the outputs from 3 keyboards along with an iPod, tablet and sometimes a laptop.

Very flexible and easy to use with. 1U so doesn't take up much room. Really like the fact it uses a kettle lead rather than an external power supply.

Great piece of kit.

the headroom is amazing in compare to my previous mixer (StudioMaster Logic Twelve)

downside is what all the knobs are stepped (i prefer on studiomaster, where only Pan knob is stepped on the middle)

Stereo/mono rack mixer

Works like a dream... affordable 16 channel! Cheaper way to add channels to my other mixing desk. This also works as 8 channel mono mixer!

As expected.

Does what it meant to do perfectly, 8 stereo inputs. gave me exactly what i needed with no problems. Love it !

good small mixer

I have two of them. I have had the old model (two of them too). The construction feels better and the size is smaller. For home studios is a good piece of kit, specially when the space is very limited. Very good, and confortable to work with modules and rack synths. I´m quiet satisfied with it.

Handy Rack Mixer

I use this mixer to have some extra inputs for external audio sources on my audio interface.

It is silent, sounds pretty good and has a ton of headroom, witch is impressive for this price.

The only minus is that the stepped output pots aren't completely matched if you have a mono source input in one of the channels the stereo output isn't completely equal there is about 1db difference between left and right, witch is unbearable so I'm not bothered by it.

overall it's a great unit

Best Line Mixer for the price

What a nice surprise I had when I discovered the v2 is half in depth vs v1, easier to fit in a rack environment. Also, the knobs are a bit improved and sound quality is perfect, the mixer is noiseless and have a great headroom. Really can't recommend it enough for Synth setups !

By far the best rack mixer - bar none

I have 6 of these in my studio. Everything is superb with these mixers. Small, light, 16 channels, send effect out so you can look any fun effect back on any track.

In the old days Behringer usually sucked at audio quality but I have both this new version and some of the old one from 2005 or something. Both are very very quiet.

If I have to find one negative aspect it would be the Balance knob for each stereo pair. Sometimes they are kinda tricky to get just right because they are stepped. But that is a truly minor glitch in the matrix and one that has not bothred me in any way really.

You can buy this with conficence. And speaking of which, it's basically free.

Spare for existing V1 RX1602

Hopefully with Behringer updating their internal Power Distribution, this mixer should last longer than the 5 years my first one did before the Toriodal transformer gave up the ghost.

Great value, useful mixer.

The mixer fits conveniently into 1U of 19" rack space, making it ideal to sit alongside MIDI sound modules, effects units or other outboard equipment.

Each of the 8 stereo inputs has a pair of 6.35mm jack sockets, which are balanced (trs) but can be used unbalanced if required. Switchable sensitivity makes each pair of inputs suitable for line level or microphone input.

On the front panel, each stereo channel has volume and balance controls plus a feed for monitoring or to feed an effects unit. Each channel can be individually muted, making it easy to switch off any unused channels to reduce unwanted noise.

It's easy to see which channels are muted as the muting switch is illuminated with a red led when the channel is off.

Overall master level controls are provided for left and right channels, with led bar graphs to show signal presence and levels.

The mains lead plugs directly into the back of the unit, no separate external power supply is required.

Overall, a very useful and versatile mixer that is ideal in a situation where a number of items of equipment need to be connected and have their levels set but then largely left alone.
