Great alternative for that oh-so-known microphone

This microphone is fantastic for miking amplifiers, the sound is relatively close to the room sound, and they are sensitive enough that you can use them in an apartment without driving the amp to indecent levels. The build is good, it has a nice heft to it, the construction is all metal. The top "cap" and wind shield though are a bit disappointing. I ever so slightly "bumped" (more like brushed) it against my amp, and the cap immediately came to an angle. I set it back in it's place, but I can feel some play there now. That is quite annoying, just having unboxed it an hour ago, and with the "bump" being so soft that I'm reluctant to even regard it as such. Also, the wiring inside has the thinnest wires I've ever seen, don't really understand why. Then again, it's all closed up, and you'd have to unscrew it to even take a look. Overall, for the fraction of the cost of the "real thing", this is a stunning alternative with no drawbacks. Sounds great, feels great, comes with a padded case, works as it should, what more could you want? Do recommend.

Great budget mic

Great budget mic, but don't expect it to sound like a sm57. A little more bass and less highs than expected, but a great mic.

Used it on guitar speaker, tom, floor tom and even kick in mic.

all round mic

I wanted an allround mic to mic up an acoustic on rehearsals, maybe some backings, record that acoustic and maybe someday a snare/hihat. Did not want to spend more than 25€ for a thing I might not use a lot, I just needed the option, you know. But surprise surprise ! The behringer SL 75C does it all, at a fraction of the cost of the S-mic. I recorded the acoustic and it's really good. Is it that good as the "real" thing ? Probably the build quality is maybe less than the you-know-which mic.

Concerning the features: I had to choose between some other brands, some come with a cable but no mic stand adapter, some other brand comes with a case only. This Behringer SL 75C comes with a case and a mic stand adapter. If it had an xlr cable too, I would give 5 stars.

Sound quality is more than OK, checkout the vids online.

I would buy it again.

The value for money is off the charts, once again.

Extraordinary value for money

I bought this mic because I wanted a decent sounding one for recording heavy guitars at home. Having been owning the Behringer UMC202HD interface for some time (which I had very positive experience with, unlike Focusrite Solo) and after watching a number of comparisons with Shure SM57 I had quite high expectations regarding this mic and it has more than stood up to them.

Build quality:

Immediately after taking it out of the box I was shocked by the quality. The metal chassis feels great in the hand at it has quite a bit weight to it.

Sound:

I use it to mic my Blackstar HT5 mkII combo with a copy of Diezel VH4 pedal in the FX loop and after double tracking and adding some EQ I get really high quality sound out of this setup. I place the mic around the cap edge of the speaker and I get quite a balanced, articulate sound this way.

Overall, I think this mic is an absolute steal! Good luck finding a microphone that offers better bang for your buck than this one.

Shockingly good

I have an original Shure SM57 that I have for a snare drum, and it goes without saying that it's fantastic.

I wanted a couple more of them for the rack toms but they're not the cheapest thing around. Saw this and figured I'd give them a try, and was very pleasantly surprised!

The build quality is very nice, good weight to the things and the sound is actually very good. They sound great on toms! They sound mostly the same as the SM57 does. Some people might actually prefer the sound of these!

Dropped a star for the quality though as when you open it up, you can see that the wire used is veeeery thing in comparison to the Shure. However, that's inside and it would need to take a ridiculously severe beating for those to get damaged

Cheap a very good for learning

I bought this microphone along with the Behringer B 906 to learn more about mic recording directly from a bass cab. For the price, the build and sound quality are just amazing.

If you're learning how to use a mic to record this is an amazing choice.

The best Mic Better than Shure SM57

I have to be honest. This mic is outperfoming my Shure SM57. The sound quality is superb! I am trully happy I found out about this microphone. Whoever designed it know what they were doing. I use the mic for recording my handpans.
