Great sound, bad implementation of the capsule “cap”

After almost 3 years of use the cap just fell off. It was held by tiny amounts of glue and I guess it dried out. Not a complicated fix, but definitely seems like a flawed design compared to the original product that this mic replicates. You can twist the cap on the sm47 as it is secured differently and won’t come off that easily.

Great value instrument mic

I’ve been using this microphone to mic my amp into the PA system during gigs, as well as to do home recordings, for the past 5 or so months, while also handling several of the renowned Shure 57s it clearly goes a bit further than just taking inspiration from. No, I won’t say it sounds “just the same” compared to the better known model from Shure - rather that Behringer’s take works just as fine for live and studio recordings as the 57, which I believe is a fair assessment and sums up my experience with it. This mic feels like a solid and well made product and works just like so, with a clear input that, while properly representing the sound from my amp, also providing a sonic range I’d describe as “familiar”, though I lack the expertise to dive any deeper than that. All in all, it’s a solid, reliable and good-sounding mic that costs about 20 bucks and comes with a hard case. I wouldn’t necessarily advise one to cheap out on the most basic, longest-lasting and least prone to obsolescence pieces of equipment you’ll invest in, however for the rising artist and/or producer, the hobbyist musician, the Saturday night club manager or the gigging player in need of a mic that won’t break the bank if it gets lost, I’d say the Behringer 75C to be a solid bet that’ll always double as a backup, in case a more proven alternate is attained later on.

Good

If you’re reading this you’re a bit cheap and you’ll be happy enough with this knock off

Amazing

I tested this verses a Rode Podmic and I preferred this one. It had a warmer tone for vocals, though perhaps less detailed..... on my voice this was the winner. At this price it is a no brainer.

Goede en bruikbare budget microfoon

Werkt perfect voor snaren drum

Weinig verschil met duurdere Shure sm57 wat geluidskwaliteit betreft

Lage kwaliteit behuizing (plastic)

Hersteld met duct tape, werkt nog steeds prima

Something you don't mind throwing around/beating up

I originally bought a few of these mics to record drums, but found they had plenty of use for backing vocals with rock bands for bar gigs and smaller venue shows. I haven't done a direct comparison between this mic and the sm57 that it draws its design from, but its a completely serviceable mic for dirt cheap.

perfect for live event

perfect for the price, I use it pretty much every weekend at live shows in a small venue and no problems at all, isn't that far off from a sm57, and due to the price is awesome!

Good value

For a low cost 57 substitute, these are quite usable. Cheap enough to replace when they get inevitably smashed by a drummer / angry guitarist / bassist's girfriend etc.

Does exactly what's needed.

Good, sturdy microphone, have used it live, on instruments and at home, does the job wonderfully at a fraction of the price of competitors

Not That Good

I read every review of this microphone on here, and I thought I was going to get something with better sound quality. However, let me tell you. The sound quality isn't that good. It's usable, but I don't think you wanna record something that's going to be upfront with this microphone.

However, for the price, it's still a good microphone and it feels like you get more than what you pay for. Let's say it's worth perhaps 50% more.

The build quality is nice, and the box it comes with is perfect as a carrying case.

The first time I tried it, I thought it sounded so bad and I said to myself "I'm never ever using this". Though, after some time, I changed my mind.

I found a use for it when recording background vocals, and on other tasks, where I may be risking breaking my more expensive microphones.

The bottom line is. If you wanna get into music production, and think you can get away with using only this microphone. Forget it. If you want this microphone as a compliment to your other microphones, go for it!

Using it on a snare

My main snare mic, which I bought as a temporary replacement for a broken sm57. Guess what - I never repaired the sm57!

Great mic - great value!

Ok all around mic

It's a budget all around mic it's ok for snare but a bit muddy for guitar, it's not even comes close to the original

Extremely nice packaging though

Surprisingly good

I wasn't sure what to expect from this mic but (a) it seems very solid and well build and (b) for the price you really can't go wrong ! Have used it so far in a home studio environment in front of a guitar can equipped with a 12" Celestion Rocket and the results were very good indeed. It seems pretty much identical to an SM57 or the T-Bone equivalent but at a price that's hard to believe. Comes in a nice sold case with mic stand adaptor (which has a removable internal thread) so an added bonus. There's nothing not to like about these mics.

Can you go better? No!

For this price, you can't go better!

Of course, it doesn't sounds like real sm57, but with little bit of EQ on your mixing desk, it will sound like a real thing!

Good for a starter mic

Never recorded electric guitar before. This is my first mic and I have no issues with it. Sound quality without any equalization or filtering was really good to me. It just feels a bit cheap. It is heavy, however the mic itself is very light. The casing (most of its size) is the heavy part.

Goede prijs/kwaliteit

Voor die prijs zijn dit goede mics. Doen wat ze moeten doen. Voelen heel robuust aan. Geluid is meer dan aanvaardbaar goed.

Behringer SL75C

One problem, as I read in another review, a small bump to the shield and it came off almost immediately, disappointing but a couple of tight wraps of insulation tape around the top of the mic and the shield sat back on snuggly, I hope behringer get that sorted soon as its otherwise a durable feeling mic and the sound is great, I would buy another another if needs be in the future.

Perfect allrounder mic in this price range

I am not a pro and I am setting up a small home studio on a budget and after reading and watching several reviews I have decided to try this mic for recording instruments.

Outcome: I've had the mic for a couple of weeks now and I am curious to see how it will hold up on the long run but for the time being I am totally happy with it!

I've tried it with acoustic and amplified instruments and voice, and I think the result is quite stunning for this price tag.

Pros: price, wide frequency range, clarity, sturdy feel, it comes with a hard case and holder.

Cons: rather dull color ;)

I haven't tried the SM57 or other clones but I would definitely recommend this piece of gear.
