Good for the price

Built quality is not bad, could be better. Sound wise they are clear and loud. They rumble a little bit when you turn the volume more than half.

I don't like the proprietary cable that connects the left speaker to the right one since it's short. I recommend it for someone that is on low budget and wants something loud.

Nearfield monitors

A little disappointing. Build quality is good but sound not so good. suffered from a deep rumbling bass which did not compare with my other nearfields.

Muddy and thin.

I got them in purpose to install them to church's kitchen, only to transfer main service there. Great for this task, but not for serious use..

I took them to my small home studio and compared to JBL 305P MKII.

Pros:

- Usb feature works well. Just plugged usb cable to my Mac and

got these working straight away.

- Cheap. Nice looking alternative for "supermarket" PC speakers.

Cons:

- They sound very very muddy and quite thin. Unusable for any kind of mixing. If you need to, better get some headphones for the money, please.

- Cable for passive speaker is not too long.

Ok but not more than that

These moniros give a lot of sound, good sound, but there lies also the problem. The sound is not controllable. Because the buttons are on the backside, you have to control the osund through (in my case) the laptop. Even at sound 5 (from 100) they are (too) loud. So why not make these monitors with a turn knob. Sound is ok, controls are useless.
