Behringer TD-3-BK Reviews
Using it from usb/midi, never tried to use the internal sequencing.
Sound is great, build quality is great, totally worth the price
303 Clone on a budget
It sounds better than VSTs although not so good as original as I have some clones at home but for this price can't complain also the CV outputs you can use it as USB to CV converter so it's a lot of functionality.
The built-in distortion is useless for recording it just add too much hum, ground noise so better switch off when plugin to record much better to have a dist pedal it's another sound. So far it's lasting good I had for a year now. If you can build DIY stuff you should try the re-303 sounds amazing but hard to built .
Behringer td-3
Great little machine and affordable price
everyone needs a 303
To be honest - the design of the 303 is very limited and the sequencer very hard to use. But I can not image any other analog synth that is that recognisable once the slides are empoyed. From a build and feature perspective I think 99.- is what it actually should cost.
Triggered via Midi from a DAW you'll get accents and slides as well, furthermore you can trigger via CV other synths without the headache of the internal sequencer. I bought it to get those slide sounds from my other synths (korg arp odyssey, minibrute, modular).
Finally the legendary sound for a dump price
I never had the original unit always wanted one. Now I have this clone and it's awesome. Will buy another one. And another one. Collect all colors and jam the acid.
An essential bit of equipment
Does exactly what it is supposed to do,, its an acid box,, after reading online reviews and watching hundreds of tutorials and demo videos obsessively for weeks I found that the sequencer wasn't as difficult to use as I thought it would be.
Behringer should supply a USB cable with it ..
Other than that it's awesome..
All the acid you need
It does everything it needs to do. Squelch away programming your favorite tunes or create your own! The black colour is more a dark grey but still looks great. One complaint would be that it's not battery or USB powered but a plus would be that it has an onboard distortion circuit. Also if you're into that you can modify or circuit bend it.
Great for 135 euro but could be better
Does it sound good? Absolutely. Does it do what an original 303 can do? Yes. But unfortunately Behringer also chose to repeat the poor build quality of the original. The buttons are very flaky and I doubt will continue to trigger properly over time. I've also read people saying the silver paint on the buttons chips off and I don't doubt it. The overdrive is just "OK" and I really miss having a delay effect. Would have paid more if Behringer could have delivered better quality overall. Missed opportunity IMO.
Great sound - Lot of fun - Hard to put down.
I wanted the grey, but it was in backorder. So I jumped on my second choice, the black one. No regrets looks awesome. And what can I say, quirky to program, just like the TB-303. But that's what I like about it.
Really nice product
I'm very happy to share the quality if the product , nice sound and great solid instrument
A great clone of the 303!
Over the years I've owned several clones of the 303 and this one is definitely one of my favourite ones!
All the controls you wish for an acid box are there, the sound is very close to the original and it looks amazing. I'm not a big fan of the onboard distortion, but it's a nice little extra. Works perfectly with MIDI or the included sequencer and allows for easy creation of melodies and for the low price it has, it's a no-brainer.
behringer 303 clone
had to test this as i am 303 fan. have 4 clones so could compare fine , the sound is ok from this but its feels so fragile , the buttons are fragile , i'm not the most carefull person while handling my gear , so wasnt really pleased. but have to say for the money it costs, its quite ok.
TD-3-BK
Well, this is a very nice synth. However you may have to "break the warranty" to tune it. It is very alike to TB-303 after tuning. The factory setting was so off that I wonder did they ever check this version before boxing it. - They do not have screw driver holes at the bottom like TB-303, but you do not need to remove any knobs either to get this tuned. There are easy access clear holes with instructions which trimmer is what.
TB-303 clone
It's the same TD-3, but with a different sound.
But for this price, I'm happy with it.
Works as it should
I was familiar with most things already before purchase and I've gotten what I expected. The TD 3 has also been receiving multiple firmware updates to address problems pointed out by the community which is nice.
