Behringer UM300 5-stars Reviews
Metal in Plastic
this pedal is very adaptable but you really can get a multitude of tones from it, the easiest being a nice scooped metal tone that's right uo the NVAHM street, the key is keeping that bass back to allow the tome come through, leave the bass to your bassist!!
Behringer UM300 review
I play a PRS custom 24 SE through a 100w Marshall amp and wanted something that would give me a nice crunchy, almost (but not quite) metal sound. This pedal is perfect for that. I wanted something similar to a tubescreamer without forking out the that much money. I got a great deal. There are 6 dials which means you have total control over your tone and EQ. it can range from a light crunch to a full on rock out/dirty metal sound. If you're looking for that alt American rock sound (3 doors down, Alterbridge) this will hit the nail on the head. And you always have the option to reign it in for a lighter sound. An excellent buy
Bought to try out?...
This is probably the best distortion unit in the ranger!...it's got six knobs with EQ settings etc....and if its distortion you want?...this is it!!!....however!....my tastes are old fashioned and i think it slightly destroys the natural sound of the guitar?...unlike the Tube Modeller TM300.....d;-)
