Great Bass DI

I never thought that a bass processor at this price point would sound so good. It makes a huge difference, using it in a live situation. Direct DI and out put to bass amp makes it convenient. My mixing requires minimal work.

I like it

i dont have much experience with effect pedals, but i like it makes the bass sound alot bettre, also you have some options to go from "rock" all the way to slap, jaz, blues,

it might not have the moast sexy look but i would still recomend this one :D

An Absolute Gem!

I wasn't sure about this pedal when I first plugged it in, but over the next few days it started to dawn on me what a little gem this thing is.

I bought it originally as just an overdrive pedal and sure it does that perfectly as long as you don't go past 2 o'clock on the drive dial. You can achieve a good driven sound with plenty of guts but if you go too far it just sounds like a broken amp with ripped speakers!

The tone controls work like a dream and if you are having trouble getting your bass to come through amongst other instruments, trust me you will find a tone in there that will bring you through easily. The presence control just brings the whole thing alive and has the ability to change the the overall punch or smoothness and works with the tone controls to enhance them further, it also adds a little warmth to the signal which I love. The blend so far I tend to leave around mid-way as I don't want to eliminate the original sound of my bass's completely but rest assured it works as it should and might be a nice option for someone else. The level control can be used as a signal boost or just to engage the effect at the same level and works perfectly. and on top of all this, although not tested yet, it has a DI output!

True, it won't make your bass sound like it's being played through a valve amp but it gets the sound most of the way there and I think it sounds fantastic. This pedal will bring a bass alive for most genres of music from funk right through to vintage rock. If you are looking to smoothen your sound or give it a bit more punch or sparkle, this will absolutely do it and then some!

Although plastic, it doesn't look cheap and it feels weighty, it actually feels really solid. The footswitch, controls and jack sockets all work perfectly well so I have no concerns whatsoever of it breaking in the near (or far) future.

Like I said earlier, I bought it just an overdrive pedal and after the first use I wasn't sure, but now after a few days of farting about with it, I am having trouble turning the thing off, it just brings so much to the party. I would be happy with this pedal..... even if I never used the drive section I bought it for!

Unbelievably cost under 23 euros.....110% recommended!!! :)

Excellent alternative to the other bass preamps on the cheap

Compared to the Sansamp Paradriver that I used to own, BDI21 sounds pretty much the same, despite being 10 (ten!) times cheaper. My only complaint is that it can be difficult to see what position the knobs are in.

Great Sansamp Clone for studio/bedroom use.

I don't think this unit could hold up to touring abuse and being stamped on every night but for the price it's great. Perfect for bedroom/studio use.

Want a multi-function pedal but don't want to spend a lot of money? Then this pedal is for you!

The pedal sounds very decent! I bought it as an addition to a bass guitar with passive pickups.

With this pedal, the sound has become very dense, "fat", it is possible to adjust different sounds!

I was very pleased that this is also a di-box.

The quality of the materials was surprising. To be honest, I thought the pedal would be quite fragile, but I was wrong. The case is very durable, weighs about 500 grams!

I am very pleased with the purchase!

Best value for Your EURos

Maybe isn't a heavy-duty metal case pro pedal but it will upgrade a lot Your budget bass or amp. Even good with more expansive bass guitars. Real deal.

Really cool

I am a guitar player and wanted something to record bass a bit better for practise and other things. I mean it works wonders, definetly worth it.

Value for money

If you are on low budget, This Di box does the job even if it’s seems fragile with the plastic case.

I used it to boost my Acoustic bass Harley Benton B 35NT which wasn’t sounding good with the pickup on the bass. Then with the Behringer it sounded amazing.

Go for it

Easy to use and well made. Perfect for a young bass player or for someone that plays bass as a second instrument. Put it in your gig bag and your off. For the price your really getting a lot.

excellent value for money

I use this mainly as a DI box to input the signal from the bass guitar to the mixer. It has notice features that enable different tones to be achieved. Can be battery or mains powered.

Can also be used as a simple overdrive pedal input to the amp.

Pros:. Simple to use. Small and light in weight but looks sturdy.

Cons: doesn't really replace an overdrive pedal because the level of drive isn't great.

Overall a very good value DI box with some interesting additional features

As a Signal Booster and for Metal

Just the perfect combination.

Works as a DI, it does offer Drive and a nice boost to your Bass.

If you want to use it for metal, let me tell you that it will make it CHUG.

There is a point in which it make your sound so tight that you will not believe its your bass.

Pedal its very versatile as it also offer some funky sounds, but as for metal, I cannot stress enough that it has been the best purchase i have done so far, and for this price?

You will not believe it either.

Trust me

Good pedal for a beginner

This is my first pedal and i wanted something cheap yet nice to overdrive and basically distort my bass. This worked perfectly. I'm not sure what the cons would be for such a cheap pedal. I'm getting results that i wanted, and i'm enjoying mean and gritty sounds. Would recommend!

A huge variety of sounds in a 20 EUR box

As a gigging bass player I do hate transporting my 4x10 cabinet and 15+ kilo amp for smaller clubs since it only takes space and no one from the audience actually cares about your gear. Especially if you don't have too much space in your car, having a proper DI / bass preamp to substitute the amp is a must. Then I bought the ultimate classic MXR M80 - did the job well and I am actually still happy with the purchase.

However, recently I started thinking of changing the type of sound a bit - into something more overdriven than distorted. The well-known Sansamp DI is too expensive for simple testing, and friends have already told me good things about the Behringer, so I decided to give it a go.

The best piece of gear you can buy for this money, really.

I'd say this one is even more versatile than the MXR, and it can easily evolve from a nice bright sound to quite a serious growl, making the bass sound like a guitar if you play with the Treble knob. And without sacrificing the low end! Tested it both home and on stage.

The only bad thing is the unit is made out of plastic and stomping might result in breaking it. So I am simply not switching back to clean channel while playing. Oh yeah - and if it breaks, I can just buy another one. Or two...
