X AIR 12...WOULDNT BE WTHOUT IT

Learning curve was a bit of a drag but once mastered its so versatile. Would advise using an external modem ...especially over any distance, between tablet and mixer. Drop out were a bit of an problem especially over distance. Highly recommend as good as the midas.... alledgedly

Sorry I didn't take the plunge before

Busy solo singer/guitarist, I used a powered desk and effects rack up to now, this unit replaced the effects rack and the desk. Paired with an LD

G2 system, perfect for most small venues. Less weight to drag around, less space taken up in the van and on stage. Quicker set up time too, there are no real downsides to this. The effects are very usable although as an audio nerd I would have put more than 4 effects at a time (minor problem). As per online chatter I used an external travel router (€49) to avoid drop outs, no problems yet. Running on and old jacked Amazon Fire 7" with no issues if you don't mind the small screen.

In the process of acquiring a pair of FBT Ventis 112a's for larger venues.

Sockets all seem solid, unit itself is chunky and feels solid too. I would highly recommend moving to one of these if like me you value weight, space , and set up time.

Perfect little digital mixer

Fantastic unit. Sounds great, plenty of inputs and outputs for its size. Only complaint is the built in wifi hotspot is 2.4ghz only, and does not support decent encryption like WPA2 (only basic WEP is supported) but I use it hardwired into a miktrotik routerboard, and use that for wifi so I can connect securely. I own the big brother of this (X32 rack) and it seems to perform and sound just as good. Wish it had a master volume control on the front though.

I use this in a 2 piece band with my wife running 2 vocal, guitar, percussion and also backing tracks.

Its light and compact and easy travel with, We use it in Ireland and also on cruise ships were we work.

Its just perfect. if you want to see it in use, search Aileen & Sticks online and you will see our live performances using it and also the usb recording is perfect for capturing our performances.

Insane mixer. I love that you can control it by almost all devices. Nice Rta funcion to protect speakers from feedback. Easy to learn control it. Lot of lessons by creators in youtube. Recording ability. Simple monitors control. Lot of FX. I heard that sometimes in places where are lot of wifi devices its starts stuck. But i didn't face this problem for now. Recomend.

I have purchased the x air 12 a few moths ago , and used it in combination with RCF J Evox. Sounds great, does a briliant job even for 150 up to 250 people events. All the facilities of the console respond perfect. I'm looking forward to expand the usage range of the mixer by using the usb playback and recording facilities.

A good budget digital mixer, after the analog is not much to get used to, but the functionality is just fine!

Well, let me say this...

This is the best peace of equipment that I ever bought.

I've been using it for 2 years now, for more then 200 live gigs, and it never failed.

What you get in this small, light and easy to carry black box is just awesome!

It has everything that you could possibly think of...only if you need more channels, but then you have other versions of this product.

So, you get all the channels you need, all the effects that you need, and then some more...equalizers, usb port, so you can reproduce music, or record it live...and one of the best things - everything is controlable with their app that you can download for free, on your tablet, phone, or something like that, so you can move around the place, and make the sound that you desire without running back and forth all the time. It's so small and convenient that you'll never think of carrying around any of those big, heavy pieces of equipment.

The only down side - there were some situations when the wireless connection was unstable, or couldn't make a connection. That happens when there are too many wireless signals in the area. In that situations you need an extra router so you can make a good connection. So, that's not really a big problem, if you can even call it like that...

All in all, this is a great product and I highly reccomend it!

Behringer X AIR XR12

I've gigged my Behringer X AIR XR12 2/3 nights a week for over a year and it has worked faultlessly. Its crammed with usable effects/dynamics processors is really easy to navigate with the X Air app on my iPad.

Great mixer.

Good - Wheigt, dimmensions, 2 track recording, Android and IOS

Bad - Wi Fi connection kind of weak, recording and playback only .wav

Behring X Air X12

I bought this mixer to use it with a simple DJ or band set up but be able to have a large amount of control still.

I have been absolutely shocked and amazed by this product. If you are willing to control sound via an iPad or Mac this is perfect is you like the feel of using a desk this is not for you!

The app to control it X Air allows you to use almost all of the features of the Behringer X32 except this can be carried around without any hassle. The price in comparison to an X32 as well is incredible.

However a downside to the XR12 is only 4 XLR inputs however if you buy some adapter this can be easily solved.

Would highly recommend!!!

Essential piece of kit for any band

If you have never tried it, then being able to control all the mixer functions from a tablet onstage is something you will wonder how you ever lived without.

Not only do you not wear out sliders, but a tablet clipped under your mike stand makes it very easy to attend anything on the mixer.

We use the X AIR both live and in the studio. It works most nights for one man gigs with my brother, then weekly with the band, plus practice sessions.

We like the comprehensive functions, the wireless control, the quality sound and new updates. (Which means it is still actively supported)

Our only dislike is that the built in wireless acess point is dedicated to the mixer function and won't allow other functions, such as prompters, to our other tablets.

In summary - it's a must have.
