Behringer X32 Rack 5-stars Reviews
Perfect for the price and features.
This is the second x32 we have in a small 100 cap brick venue I work in. Although the other died after 4 years it has been brought back to life whilst we got a replacement. It worked 5 nights minimum a week 6pm-6am so not surprised it had a small heart attack in a smoky room. Most venues near us at the same size have a crappy 12 channel analog desk with beer all over it. For smaller sized venues it is the future and for the right price.
Amazing value for money
Great value for money considering the features. Really can't go wrong at this price
Nice and Comprehensive Digital rack
i was hesitating to buy a rack mixer after using faders for 18 years! well it worth taking the challenge and try something different. this rack has every button u need except the faders which is great for someone who is moving to such system. the most nicely thing abt it are the level meters for the main and the solos and the channels. the rack has all what it needs to run a live show without an Ipad in a condition that your show is well prepared and routed and labeled. in terms of quality, i believe that the preamps are very nice and warmth, the effects are extremely clear and amazing.. (didn't expect it that much great) . the handling could be more rigid in terms of click buttons, however it is very reliable, so don't worry about that. in conclusion, if u are shifting from analogue to digital with a limited budget, than this mixer is the best in class and you won't regret.
ASTOUNDING PRICE/QUALITY
We use this mixer in our church, but compact version, then we decided to buy one more (RACK unit) for gigs, and youth ministry, Its is so good! Cons: only bit harder to controll without PC or tablet
Pros: over 9000, but for real, it is not beatable by this price and functionality, its one of best products i had in my life..
you can record, play, travel its ideal.. for everything..
GREAT TONE FOR A GREAT PRICE
Have just had this mixer for about 2-3 months upgrading from a XR18 (which is also a good mixer but i stumbled on output and input limitations). The X32 Rack solved all the problems i had with XR18, it has more than 32 Channel (with the stage box added) and ALOT of outputs.
I cant say enough pros about this product. its pretty much perfect it my books. Im an ipad kinda guy, and i much prefer the layout and interface on the Desktop edit app,
Fun facts: if you're having trouble with wifi even with own router, using a " Ethernet -> USB " converter, and then " USB -> Lightning " converter u can plug ur Ipad directly to the x32 for no latency controlling.
Minor disadvantage: (not cons imo)
is that it is however much heavier than an XR18, not as easy to carry and lug around, so if you're getting this be sure to get a nice rack for it that you can carry easily.
Great unit for small bands.
Being in a band for 25 years, "doing" sound besides playing guitar for 15 years, this amazing mixer changed the sound perfomance a lot. Started digital era with MR18, ending after 18 months with the lack of inputs, now we continue with x32 Rack + SD8 with consistent transition from MR18. I control mixer from apps (Win+Android), monitoring is provided from Ultranet to PM16 and we could't be happier. Clean, transparent sound, lot of processing possibilities, little bit limited routing (groups of 8, resp. 4 channels), full 32/32 USB recording... Killer for that money. Recommend to any demanding sound engineers and bands on a budget.
My personal conclusion
Mixing without faders is absolutely possible, but it might be not for everyone. I have a SAC and recording studio background, so I?m used to do sound with Mouse and Keyboard only. The nice thing with the X32 gear is, that you can mix bigger shows simultaneously with the X- and the XiControl. This speeds up the workflow and it is quite safe too. If the laptop or the iPad fails, you have always one interface left. During my days with the X32 Rack I mixed sets solely on the XControl or the XiControl. Both is doable, but you have to embrace the software or at least learn to love it. Ok, I won?t do a festival with it, but for smaller set ups or repetitive events (same band) it works really well in the present development status in my eyes. In addition, I?m quite sure, that there is more to come from Behringer, which will enhance this topic a bit further. I would be nice, if someday you could hook up one Behringer BCF 2000 faderpack to the XControl and lock it to the eight virtual DCA faders. Than even bigger show won?t be a problem. But this whole topic is quite subjective ? you better check this out for yourself.
easy and light
in small gig with ipad lik a a mix or like a stagebox with full X32 in bigger gig.
Perfect
Best price/funcionality
The best digital mixer for beginners. Easy to understand.
Behringer need to improve the ios app.
The hype is real
Use
Live touring, IEM setup
Clarity
The Midas preamps are amazing. Our IEM mixes sound so much better and it's made our set up super quick.
Pros
- Compact
- Sounds amazing
- FOH friendly
- Amazing preamps
- Great effects (reverb, delay, compression)
- Price
Cons
- A little confusing at first
- Lack of midi functionality (midi doesn't work like a normal Audio interface would)
The hype is real with the Behringer X32. We've done a couple tours now and it's solid and reliable. Get it!!
Unbeatable for the price
Use it as a FOH and monitor console for smaller remote gigs. Usually gets thrown in the corner of the stage and is controlled by laptop from FOH position with the help of 50M cat5 cable (no connectivity issues this way). The outputs are enough for main mix and 5 stereo monitor mixes.
Pros:
Small, light and full of features, very reasonably priced.
Sounds absolutely adequate for small and medium sized touring needs. Have not tried it in studio recording scenario yet, but I don't think that you could buy a better interface with 16 mic pres for this price.
Cons:
Biggest annoyance control-wise is with the EQ panel on PC software. If you are using touchpad on laptop - you have to type in the Q-values. No problem when using mouse or tablet though.
Reverbs are not that good in my opinion. But then again - i am a bit of a reverb snob.
I really miss 2-3 additional stereo mix buses. You have enough if you are working with mono wedges for monitors, but when you start working with stereo in-ears, you are always a mix or two short for subgroups.
All in all - still unbeatable for the price and looks sturdy enough to survive reasonable touring abuse.
Recommended
We use the X32 rack in a four-piece band. We use it with the S16 as a digital snake. It serves all our needs, with 4 independent stereo IEM feeds to all of us, which we control on our iPads. Great pre-amps, excellent sound quality. The iPad interface is very intuitive and easy to use, and makes mixing on the fly a breeze.
Onboard effects are many and of good quality, and the digital routing options has catered to all our needs. For the prize, you get a lot here. Recommended!
Excellent Buy
Probably my best buy by a long shot.
Have 2 units. One installed in venue with S16 and one for touring.
AWESOME little desk with huge return.
Have used alternative desks; aka: the competition.
i.e: mackie, presonus, soundcraft, etc
None of them perform as well as the X32 Rack.
PERFECT for install purposes, especially with S16 over IP.
Excellent for touring as well. Such a small foot fall in car, van, etc.
I use kind of like a stage box. Nice, neat and slick.
iPad app is top knotch and find X32-MIX to be the best as far as performance.
VERY GOOD PRODUCT FOR THIS PRICE
WE USE THIS MIXER ON 50 CONCERT AND WE DON'T ANY PROBLEM....WORK PERFECT
Behringer X32 Rack
what can I say this ticks all the boxes for me, it is in a live venue situation that has ment we have cleared all the foh equipment so more room in the venue but we have 32 tracks of USB recording at our studio in the rear od our venue this couldn't be better.
X32 rack
Great!
x32 rack
if your after the functionality of a full mixer without having to lug a massive desk around. this is the one you want.
I do a lot of corporate djing along with bands and awards dinner speeches etc, having this in the rack and being able to plug anything and everything in at the drop of a hat is great, and certainly a client pleaser.
Brilliant!
We have moved from an analog desk to the x32 rack for a 10 piece band. Absolutely brilliant! the band are able to control their monitor mixes from on stage with Ipads and I look after the front of house. Patch effects very simple, each channel strip comes with a host a features that are extremely intuitive to learn and use. The best thing is we no longer need space at our gigs for the front of house desk. I truely believe this is a great piece of kit and great value for money. Thank you.
Think behringer is still a cheap rip off of quality products....? If they were, then not anymore.... Music group own Midas, Klark technics, Turbosound and T.c electronics group of company's . ( Plus others )They are now a big player with good quality products. Can't really fault my x32 rack , you can even use it as an 16 independent track recorder 32 with add on's. Even comes with traction DAW, (free download ).....x32 game changer...
Behringer x32rack
Jumped into digital technology from being an analogue dinosaur, found it easy to use and don't you can do better for the money, the digital revolution is here, well done behringer!!!!
