Great little mixer!

I bought this to use with my DJ Controller, as i wanted the versatility to connect to my amp, to a house system in a pub or nightclub, or be able to use a monitor too.

It is a very light mixer with a very long power cable, the PFL is very visibly seen and all the text is big enough to read from a slight distance.

There is no EQ on channel 2/3 and 3/4, but thats something you could live with!

If your looking for a great little mixer this is it!

Perfect for what I wanted.

I wanted a small desk to just get a feel for what's involved in a larger one. I learned the basics from this product and found it to be very helpful. I only use it for practice now but it is a good little piece of equipment to have and great value for money too.

Good inputs and outputs, but lacks in sound quality

Bought this as an entry to personal in ear monitoring as a drummer, worked OK in the start, but quickly started to decay in sound quality. Has a nice amount of connections and a good compact size, but the noise this mixer gives you when you try to raise the voume to a listenable level during a rehearsal or a gig is horrible. The noise gets so dirty its kind of difficult to hear the things you have put in the inputs.

I would rather recommend putting a little more money into buying a mixer. I went with the Yamaha MG06 and its a huge difference. This mixer has a clean sound without any noise.

Would give three stars due to inputs and outputs as well as features, but the sound quality drags it down.

great little mixer for home production

I was looking for a quality mixer for my home applications, I am very happy that i choose Behringer again! I get a very clean sound from the mixer, great results with microphone or guitar DI box. Got no issues with functionality or knobs/buttons, working just great. I am not sure whether the power would be enough for a studio microphone but with dynamic microphone just working great. I only can recommend to everyone who is looking for an affordable little mixer.

Ideal little mixer for in ears etc.. the power socket can be an issue if not looked after like your pet kitten !! and not the easiest fix in the world.

Perfect little desk

Bought this for a simple backing track application, it works great for that.

I wish it had an internal power supply, but that would have made the unit much bigger

Good value and useable.

I got this to run an iem setup and for the price these are hard to beat. It has good options for I/O considering what it is and the sound is good. I'm shure there are better sounding units available but this desk provide great value and is reliable. I would prefer a different type of power supply but have had no problems with it yet. That's just my view on it. Well worth trying for iem applications, particularly for drummers.

perfec for what I needed

It was exactly what was looking for. The power supply is a bit awkward but it does the job.

Excellent little mixer.

This is a great little mixer giving me flexibility to have more control over my mic connected to my active speakers.Included is a very nice manual in several languages. I had enough background knowledge to use this product out of the box, but for somebody who didn't, the manual could very easily explain it to. Excellent for my home-made recording studio and very simple to use.The power supply is quite bulky and heavy. The connecting wiring can get messy and can tangle easily. The power input socket on the mixer and the power supply input plug are flimsy, but f looked after should not be a worry. This is one of 2 Behringer mixers i have purchased and overall i am very pleased.Does the job at an affordable low price.

Great little mixing tool

I needed a little mixer to combine different audio sources to my pair of monitors at home.

So i gave the Behringer a try, and I was not let down.

Compared to the price, this is really good stuff. The sound is very natural but you must be carefull with the gain control, there is one point where it really start work and from this on it reacts very rough.

Even the preamp is pretty good, you can´t compare it to a mixing console from Allen Heath, Soundcraft or something like that, but it is great for that price and if you dont need a lot of channels.

behringer

great mixer, it is very small, it has many inputs and outputs, it is very quiet and has a really good mic preamp, transparent and ultra-low noise. I use it at home for pre-registrations, but the quality is so high that sometimes I do not need to register again in studio with highest price mixer, recommended

Easy to use

Actually, I'm using this mixer as a amp for my phones in the rehearsing room. I've got one line from our Jamhub jacked into it, and another from my Pod PRO. This way, I get more control of my own sound.

Anyhow. The mixer sounds really good and is very easy to use. I recommend it to all of those that need a small mixer for a good price.

Very good quality

I am a keyboard player and I use this little mixer in our rehearsal room. The mixer is up and running without issues for the last 7 years. Even though our room is not heated and can get quite cold in winter there has been no problem whatsoever.

Feature wise this is a straight forward mixer. You have on mic input with a decent preamp and 2 eq bands. Then there are 2 stereo line inputs. You can set the level and pan for every input.

The headphone amplifier can get quite loud. Driving inear phones with this mixer is no problem at all.

My only little gripe is with the level meters. They have only very few segments so that the metering is not very accurate. But when dealing with line level sources this is not really an issue.

Smart solutions!

This is a small board, does what it should.

Sounds really good!

It doesn't color the sound in any way.

Amazing price!

I bought this for use in my bedroom because I wanted to hook up my laptop (stereo in), Line 6 GX1 toneport (mono in) and electronic drumkit (stereo in) into a set of speakers. It was unbelievably cheap but does the job exactly as required with precisely the right number of channels. I often use the headphone jack for quiet playing, and sometimes take the tape out and plug it into a sub for some extra bass when playing drums.

I have a fair bit of experience with Behringer and although their products are looked down at by some people, I've never had any issues with their quality or function from the perspective of a long-time amateur musician. In retrospect I should have got something with more than one XLR line-in if buying again, however this is perfectly good for what I need and has lives permanently on my desk.

Small, effective and affordable

I bought this mixer mainly to connect my computer and guitar preamp so I could hear both from the same headphone output. This little mixer does the job better that I could have hoped for. I also use it to connect my LP player to speakers, since it has an rca-input.

The build quality is quite good. The chassis is made from metal and the knobs, buttons and jacks are well made and very good quality for the price. Audio signal comes through clean and unaltered. The EQ knobs are quite uneffective. I haven't noticed any substantial change in low or high frequencies while turning the knobs, however, this is desirable. The equalisation, in my opinion, should be done in the audio device connected to the mixer or in post production, not in the mixer itself. There is only one XLR-input, which is somewhat limiting, but for myself, this is not an issue. The CD/Tape I/O inputs and buttons where quite confusing, but hey, there's two buttons. How many different positions are there?

I have had this mixer for almost 4 years now, and it has never failed me. Overall this little mixer has paid itself back many times. I have used it with some little gigs as well as home. I highly recommend this.

Nice little mixer

All the controls and connections are laid logically and in a compact way.

The knobs have a firm feel to them. This is a bit too light weight for my preference.

It's nice to have 2 pairs of stereo ins in this kind of low price small unit. The EQs are of a higher quality than I expected.

The sound quality is a bit disappointing as there is some kind of electrical noise in the background. But I find this mixer to be fairly adequate for casual hobbyist. The EQs have a nice warmth in them which I like.

Build quality is of a high standard, which is amazing in this price range!

Great mixer for in-ear monitors

I use this little mixer to control the volume of my in-ear monitors, and for this, the Behringer Xenyx 502 is perfect. Nice cheap mixer that works great for the purpose of volume control onstage, plus it's a nice neat size and doesn't interfere with the rest of my drum set-up.
