Vergleich zu DT-770 Pro: Bässe und Höhen weniger Hi-Fi-artig, Mitten Karton-artig

Ich habe neue Kopfhörer für Live/FOH gesucht. Idealerweise sollte das neue Paar auch zum Abhören bei Aufnahmen verwendet werden, insbesondere bei relativ feinen Signalen bei lautem Abhören (z. B. Stimmen auf Musik).

Meine klangliche Referenz waren HD 650. Der Vergleich ist etwas Äpfel zu Birnen, da HD 650 von offener Bauart sind, aber zu irgendwas muss sich ja relativ eingeordnet werden.

Hier ein paar schnelle Eindrücke zum DT-250: Frequenzgang mit etwas Sub- und Brillanz-Hype, weniger als bei DT-770 Pro, aber v. a. mehr Höhen als HD 650 (mir zu viel). In den Mitten leider recht Karton-artig. Alles schon OK für einen geschlossenen Kopfhörer, aber überzeugt war ich nicht. Kein Stereo-Bild, klingen auf meinem Kopf einfach wie zwei Lautsprecher am Ohr, nicht wie ein Kopfhörer. Weniger Isolation in Höhen als DT-770 Pro. Das Spiralkabel ist schwer und zieht recht doll an der linken Seite.

Great Headphones (but also check the DT-770s)

I bought these headphones as a replacement for a DT-770 Pro. I really like the latter, but after using DT-770s for 7 years, I wanted to try something different.

Pros:

- The headphones are not too bulky and rather lightweight.

- The cable is replaceable! (This is important for me, as this is always the first thing to break)

- The sound is excellent! I would describe it as balanced, not as bass-heavy as the DT-770.

Cons:

- The DT-250 are still comfortable to wear, but I could wear the DT-770s for a longer period of time without feeling any strain.

- I don't like the curly cable, it gets in the way when e.g. playing guitar.

- The replaceable cable uses a proprietary connector on the headphone side.

- Isolation is not that good. For monitoring usage when recording drums, I would still prefer the DT-770s.

To summarize: overall I like these headphones, but the DT-770s are available for the same price (or less). In my opinion: buy the DT-250 if you don't like bulky headphones or prefer a more neutral sound-stage. If not: just buy the DT-770s!

Good FOH cans

Pretty good isolation coupled with very clean and flat sound make these a good option for FOH PFL monitoring.
