A Serious Bang 4 Buck

Recently, I started expanding my studio setup to involve outboard compressors and EQs, and needed a decent external preamp to handle the job. I was looking at many offerings but the BLA Auteur was probably the most affordable choice that wouldn't seemingly compromise audio quality.

I love the sound of the preamp on drums and acoustic guitar. Prestine clean preamp this, excellent transient response, perfect for almost any application.

My only gripe with this preamp is the lack of output faders, but there are pads so you don't have to worry about having issues with hot sources.

I use this as one of my main studio pre-amps. The sound is just amazing. Warm and clear. The knobs are super easy to handle and very smooth. It could do with a small led light to let you know when it is on and maybe have line inputs on all 4 channels.

Other than that this is a top notch pre-amp. I highly recommenced it.

Really nice preamp! Easy to operate, solid buttons and gain potentiometers. I just miss control LED of proper function of the preamp. But it's minor :)
