Boss do it again

Brilliant and versatile delay pedal. Love the different ,and solid delays available, and the looper function is terrific . Usual solid build and reliability from the Boss range , I imagine an elephant could put this pedal on his board....

TAPE ECHO RULES!

Very accurate simulation of tape echo. that was the reason i bought the pedal. the other modes are clear, there were some new updated that were nice too . but the TAPE is a killer!

A delay aircraft in a tiny pedal

Taking the tradition of the DD pedals, the DD8 inherits everything good about them, quality of sound, easy interface and countless possibilities. The new features are great and this is really a creative and complete delay unit

It's a must o have on your pedalboard

This little thing create such an amazing sound for the price it cost.

Analog, shimmer and warm are my favourite ones, gives me the warm and bright sound I need for the music I play. The looper is also pretty cool, nothing to fancy but great for practising and create some ideas on the way.

I definitely need to acquire a charger for the pedal because the battery runs out so fast. That's the only really cons I found.

Buy one of this and you won't regret it!

Sounds and is very good. I wished it had a jack with the dry signal and a high pass knob somewhere or presets. All the settings sound great on this one.

Best Delay for the Money

I love this delay pedal. It does digital repeats to perfection and also the imperfect "analogue" repeats to perfections as much as a digital replication can be. The modulated repeats and shimmer are great additions. I just have never gotten my head around warp over the various DD iterations. Maybe I'll try this time!

A great delay on a small package

I purchased this pedal to use on a Nano pedalboard: I have a DOD Rubber neck, but I wanted a small enclosure and more features.

This delivers: great sounds (analog and warm are my favourite for what I play) and a easy-to-use looper, great for practising.

There is not a single thing I could say against it. It does what it is supposed to, and very well. As with every Boss pedal, you get great sounds and reliability without busting the bank.

Oh my god!!!

Can't believe that this little pedal contains so many things for that price.

11 mods to play with, killer price and built like a tank as always from BOSS. The only negative think is that it doesn't make coffee but I can live with that.

Buy it people!!!

P.S. The Analog mode is extremely realistic, that's why i prefer it in comparison with the popular one from MXR, it does so many more things.

Hours of fun, if you persist

A mind-boggling amount of options here, can spend hours just tinkering.

Suggest making use of some kind of notation system when jamming to remember sounds you like, because the odds of stumbling across them again are minimal.

However, love the sound potential and it's got that rugged Boss quality you expect - worth every penny.

Good fun but watch the battery usage

Boss DD-8 Review

Tested on Behringer Crave and Ovation acoustic.

Pros: Good delay with clear definition, the added effects of Shim, Reverse and with added reverb are great fun

Cons: Battery life is short (5 hours according to the docs supplied) and once there is a lead plugged in to the input then the power is on even if the switch is off. Remove all leads when not in use or use a power supply I wasted two batteries before I coped on to this.

I got this mainly for use hardware synths in my home studio and this definitely adds sparkle to the sound especially when using either the Shim, Reverse or added reverb settings. The pedal also has 4 delay settings while similar also lift the sound produced by the synths.

While I didn't spend much time with the loop function it seems easy enough to use and seems to reproduce the sound OK.

I found it hard to see what the Mod, Warp and GLT settings did to the sound but that could be just me.

I had a quick tryout with it on the guitar and it works well.
