Footswitch

I use the pedal on my pedalboard, I use it to set the tempo for my DD-20 Delay pedal.

I like that this pedal can be used for effect pedals and also for keyboard, so there's different ways you can use it. This pedal hasn't failed me once, I've used it about five years now.

For me personally as I use it only to set the tempo for my delay, it seems to be a bit big for its' use.

But overall it's a good pedal to use.

Get your foot on!

I bought this pedal for my ableton push, since the push uses an inverted polarity I needed something that had that function as a switch, and this one did the trick most certainly!

The pedal itself is good and firmly built, thanks to rubber pads on the back it will stay strongly on the ground you place it and doesnt slip or slide even the slightest!

The edges are a little sharp and I've almost hurt myself a couple of times while holding it so be careful!

But in total this is a very good pedal indeed and would recommend you buying it because of it's incredible portability and the polarity switch which renders it useful for pretty much anything with an input for sustain pedals!

Good Bang for your buck

I bought this pedal because I needed a switch to better operate my boss RC-1 loopstation.

The product arrived in no time (I live in Italy, the delivery was somewhat quicker than the other shops I experienced before) and it's really a good tool: sturdy, very small and operates very well.

I recommend it!!!

Great foot switch for Roland Cube 60

I'm using this foot switch for switching solo mode on/off on Roland Cube 60xl bass amplifer and works perfect.

This amplifer accepts other switches but for just switching one option on - off it is enough.

Build quality is great - as all Roland - Boss products.

Usual Boss Quality

Bought this as an addon for my Behringer AB200. Simply slots together to make a bank of three footswitches.

Sturdy, well built design to suit many situations where an extra footswitch can help expand your seup.

Recommended.

Simple product - does what is expected

Nothing too amazing happening here. This foot pedal is being used on a Roland keyboard for our school band. The old one was non-functional - not sure how long the school had that one - and this one is the exact model. Plugged in and did its job instantly, confirming that the old pedal was in fact, the problem! Glad it's working now! :)

Big but great

I am using this as a tempo tap together with my Boss Digital Delay 7. I bought it because I have seen some other guitarists use it. The aluminum case has a very solid feel to it although it is ridiculously big for just doing one thing ? being a switch that is turned on when you?re holding it and turned off when you are letting go. The button/switch itself feels kind of cheap since it is made of plastic but it is working fine and is easy to tap the tempo with. I imagine it is ok to use without shoes because it is quite big and easy to press down.

Solid

I bought this unit to have a separate stop pedal for my BOSS RC-2. It's just a foot switch, but a great one. I haven't had any problems with it so far. There are cheaper options out there, but I can absolutely recommend this little guy for a couple of reasons:

-Polarity switch (not a big deal, should be on every foot switch imho)

-Easy to pack thanks to the shape and the fact that you need a separate cable for connecting it to stuff (also: you can use a cable with just the right length)

-Sturdy

-It's QUIET. No loud clinks and clanks when stepping on it. Especially good if you're playing acoustic stuff.

always boss

A well made and useful pedal as you can always expect from boss. This little unit takes away the inconvenience of double clicking on your loop station to stop your loop. It also erases your loop and selects a tempo as required and can also be linked together with additional fs 5u pedals for more control.

Good but light pedal.

Good but I would like my pedal to be more "heavy"

This one i need to tapw with a duct tape to the floor to avoid moving too much.

Tep Tempo

This is a great addition to a DD-7, PH-3 etc. for controlling tap tempo. After using it I don't think i could go back to not using the tap tempo functions again. Great build quality but even sturdier versions can be made much cheaper if you are anyway handy with a soldering iron and drill.

Boss FS-5U

This is an excellent pedal.

It is strong and well made and lasts.

I have a number of these pedals over many years.

Never had any problems. Simple to use, and does exactly what it is supposed to do.

Tap tap tap

I've been using the FS-5U with my delay as a tap-tempo pedal, and it has worked well. The construction is solid, and the pedal itself has worked well. The pedal is small enough so it doesn't consume too much space, but at the same time it could still be a bit smaller without losing any usability.

BOSS FS-5U Review

Unlike another brand I have come to depend on for foot pedals, the BOSS FS-5U is difficult to do a DIY repair on when it stops switching or gets stuck in the 'down' position. Mine lasted under two years (roughly 160 gigs) and needed cleaning and lubrication twice before it ceased to respond to my efforts to revive it.

Sturdy build

As use my Fs-5U as a foot switch for some of my guitar effects pedals and it works perfectly. It has a strong metal chassis, that is sturdy but very light. The foot switch is nicely built and is a nice big target for your foot to stomp on, and doesn't fall apart after a long period of use. The polarity switch is a great feature because it gives you the opinion of using it with different products and allows you to use the pedal for different functions, for example, as a sustain pedal for a keyboard or a tap tempo switch for a guitar delay effect.

Very useful pedal for me and very well built

Great positive switch and easy to hit without having to look down at it

These switches are very convenient, they slot together which makes setting them up very easy and feel very positive under-foot. They are noiseless in that they don't provide a mechanical click and of the many I have owned over the years, none have ever failed me.
