Boss FS-5U 5-stars Reviews
Solid piece of kit
Used it as a kick drum trigger for my Roland-SPDSX, absolutely no problems or issues
Good service
the product was very good
Good Bang for your buck
I bought this pedal because I needed a switch to better operate my boss RC-1 loopstation.
The product arrived in no time (I live in Italy, the delivery was somewhat quicker than the other shops I experienced before) and it's really a good tool: sturdy, very small and operates very well.
I recommend it!!!
Great foot switch for Roland Cube 60
I'm using this foot switch for switching solo mode on/off on Roland Cube 60xl bass amplifer and works perfect.
This amplifer accepts other switches but for just switching one option on - off it is enough.
Build quality is great - as all Roland - Boss products.
Usual Boss Quality
Bought this as an addon for my Behringer AB200. Simply slots together to make a bank of three footswitches.
Sturdy, well built design to suit many situations where an extra footswitch can help expand your seup.
Recommended.
Simple product - does what is expected
Nothing too amazing happening here. This foot pedal is being used on a Roland keyboard for our school band. The old one was non-functional - not sure how long the school had that one - and this one is the exact model. Plugged in and did its job instantly, confirming that the old pedal was in fact, the problem! Glad it's working now! :)
Big but great
I am using this as a tempo tap together with my Boss Digital Delay 7. I bought it because I have seen some other guitarists use it. The aluminum case has a very solid feel to it although it is ridiculously big for just doing one thing ? being a switch that is turned on when you?re holding it and turned off when you are letting go. The button/switch itself feels kind of cheap since it is made of plastic but it is working fine and is easy to tap the tempo with. I imagine it is ok to use without shoes because it is quite big and easy to press down.
Solid
I bought this unit to have a separate stop pedal for my BOSS RC-2. It's just a foot switch, but a great one. I haven't had any problems with it so far. There are cheaper options out there, but I can absolutely recommend this little guy for a couple of reasons:
-Polarity switch (not a big deal, should be on every foot switch imho)
-Easy to pack thanks to the shape and the fact that you need a separate cable for connecting it to stuff (also: you can use a cable with just the right length)
-Sturdy
-It's QUIET. No loud clinks and clanks when stepping on it. Especially good if you're playing acoustic stuff.
Tep Tempo
This is a great addition to a DD-7, PH-3 etc. for controlling tap tempo. After using it I don't think i could go back to not using the tap tempo functions again. Great build quality but even sturdier versions can be made much cheaper if you are anyway handy with a soldering iron and drill.
Boss FS-5U
This is an excellent pedal.
It is strong and well made and lasts.
I have a number of these pedals over many years.
Never had any problems. Simple to use, and does exactly what it is supposed to do.
Great positive switch and easy to hit without having to look down at it
These switches are very convenient, they slot together which makes setting them up very easy and feel very positive under-foot. They are noiseless in that they don't provide a mechanical click and of the many I have owned over the years, none have ever failed me.
Road proven!!
I was looking for a sturdy foot pedal that will work with most other accessories and still take a beating on the road. Boss foot switches are the proven standard.
And since you can switch the polarity on this one, it's most likely going to work with anything you are wanting to attach it to.
I've used it with the Roland HDP-20 and with the iRig BlueBoard.
My recommendations definitely!
Qaulity Pedal
I purchased two of these pedals to use as control leslie effect and brake on the Roland VK7 organ. Works perfectly ... also periodically use them sustain pedals on the keyboards. It's great that you can link them together ... makes your pedal setup much more stable on the floor.
its a boss foot switch
its a boss foot switch, it switches things with your feet :D
Ive got a few of these, as they are really handy for things like controls on stomp boxes or adding an extra switch to a multi effects. They also can be joined together to make a line of them. And are rough and tough.
Boss Quality
Works perfectly, and with many hours of use this switch is still 100% solid with no issues at all. Construction is good and it's built to last, with the aluminium case being very robust. Does not take up too much room on the pedal board either.
