Great build quality and usability

The overall build quality and finish is great! The 5 buttons work well and I have been smashing them for about a year now without any damage so they can take a beating and still work and feel perfect What more can you ask for from a foot controller. Definitely recommend ( I use it with the katana 100)

Amazing!

I loved it. This pedal brings so much features to the Boss Katana amplifier that it is unreal. It can switch between channels instantly which was something I did not expect. You can even turn on and off the effects of the channel whenever you want with the help of the heavenly foot switch.

Would like flatter screws on the bottom, so it could fit better on a pedalboard velcro.

Works well with Katana-110

As a person who is playing bass for fun I wanted to enter the world of effects and I purchased Katana 110. I wasn't really thinking that I will use it that much often but after playing and discovering how it works and editing-changing channels, I started to use it so much more often.

Actually it is little bit pricey if I have to be honest. But it is fun if you have Boss Katana and being able to switch between effects etc.

Robust and versatile piece of gear!

Not so much to say here, this footswitch is robust, it is made of steel and it has legs that prevents it from sliding.

This footwitch adds up to the versatility of the Katana series amps, it does the job perfectly.

Awesome footswitch

Footswitch is sturdy and well made 8 chanells, and effect switch great touch and very usefull, and easy to use. But the price is a bit steep.

Great footswitch

Very useful for changing your amp's channels without having to walk up to it each time, even if you don't play live and are just a lazybum, this switch pedal makes playing a lot more comfy :)

If you use a Katana then you need this but it is severely overpriced

If you buy the Katana, this pedal is a must in order to get the most juice out of it. Its functionality is really simple: it allows to switch between the different tones/channels you have stored in your amp and toggle on/off individual effects while playing. The pedal itself feels quite sturdy and it is super simple to use. This being said, I would say it is quite expensive for what it is.

PROS:

- Easy to use.

- Well built.

- Allows you to access the full potential of your Katana.

CONS:

- Pricey, especially taking into account its simplicity and in comparison to the price of the amp itself.

Overall, I would say that if you have a Katana and have the money it is totally worth it.

Sturdy Footswitch!

Great footswitch, point knocked off because the cable that comes with it is flimsy as hell.

Must-have for Katana Users

Use:

This is a must-have gadget for all BOSS Katana amp users. With this GAFC Footswitch, you could switch the channels or effects on stage or at gigs in a fly! The GAFC Footswitch has 4 channels switches with a panel switch that instantly enables the setting you currently have on the amp. Also, the GAFC has an effect switch to globally change all channels switches into four types of effect switches, which surely is the added value! It also has a Footswitch out for external expression control and a volume pedal control.

Pros:

This unit is tough and can definitely withstand stage abuse! The switches are silent in operation and well-functional.

Used for Boss Katana 100 II

Good stuff. Can not imagine to use Katana with a band and live without it.

If you play in one style and tonality and never use pedals anyway, then it is fine without off course. But then it is not review for you.

GA_FC allows you change in between your 8+1 (+1 is the actual front panel setting with physical knobs) presets on the floor. And it allows you to switch on or off all possible effects turing staying in one preset (Boss calls it channel - CH).

Whewn you change preset/CH, the channel switches back to previously assigend preset (does not save the cahnges).

Highly recommend.

A must have for any Katana owner

Play like the big kids! No more reaching for your amp to make changes, you can keep both hands on your guitar, where they belong.

My only gripe is that Boss doesn't include the GA-FC with all of its compatible heads and combos.

Boss GA-FC

Great for use with my Katana 100w 212 makes swapping between stored patches very easy and adjusting effects. Just a shame Boss didn't include it with the amp (at a slightly higher price point of course).

Must have for your Katana

Solidly built as you would expect from Boss. Opens a range of functionality for your Katana. Have used it on both my Katana 100 MkI and my Artist MkI. Must have option for your Katana.

I have a Katana 100 head, and I think it's really awesome to have this pedal with it. especially when you have presets (you can have 8, which I all use).

The pedal is well made, does what it needs to, looks great and I can't think of things the pedal doesn't do which would be possible...

I would have liked it to be a bit lower in price, since it doesn't really do anything with your signal like an effect pedal does. But once you have it and get to use it, you forget about that.

I got stickers with it to use it with the Katana, but I believe the markings on the pedal are already updated to match those. (can't compare right now).
