I'm a soloist singer/guitarist for 21 years playing on cruise ships. I'm traveling with the acoustic singer all ready for 2 years on a different companys all over the world. And considering that my shows are quite different as a type of performing, the rationale and the construction of the pedal gives me all that I need for better performing. The futures and the effects for the microphone and guitar channel are quite substantial. And even that the looper it's only 80 seconds long, while programming it with external boss pedals as boss FS-7, honestly I never need more. The Setups are done very user friendly, especially if you play it live. The levels and the quality of the channels when I'm using the backing tracks are very controllable and sounds great. The acoustic singer EV-8 by Boss is one of the best products of that brand that I was having a pleasure to perform with!

Reliable and versatile

A very versatile tool allowing for many routing and setup options. I liked the setup and forget nature of it. However, it might take a bit of getting used to for someone who enjoys completely changing their sound characteristics mid set. It is still a very sturdy and reliable package for a performing singe-songwriter.

Boss Ve-8

Great piece of gear! Awesome for singer with acoustic guitar. Everything you need for performing is here. Great chorus and reverb for guitar, and awesome features for vocals. Harmonist is perfect. Has an auto feature, so you don't need to adjust key for harmony singing. With external switch, using this product is so much easier.

Amazing capabilities at a reasonable price

For a solo artist (me) this is an invaluable bit of kit. Though I have yet to get fully to grips with the looping function even without that the guitar effects and vocal harmoniser adds a new dimension to performance. Build quality is solid and price is very competitive. Nothing to dislike about the VE-8. Recommended.
