Bugera V22 Infinium 4-stars Reviews
Good Tube Amp
Cheap Tube Amp but not cheap at all sound wise. It has this singing ability the tubes bring for fraction of the price.
Make sure you tighten every single screw on it, and then you shall be fine ;)
Great Clean Channel but
The dirty channel on this is pretty poor. This makes a great pedal platform as it has lots of headroom. On board reverb was garbage but I used a pedal. I hear they have changed the reverb recently and that it is better but please check.
Plenty of head room and clean volume. This is eminently gigable.
This thing weighs a ton and is large. In the end I sold it and bought a smaller vox tube amp and then sold that for a Fender Deluxe solid state.
Recommend the amp to be used as a clean pedal platform, you need a cheap rig and don't mind the weight.
Great amp with few minuses
Amp looks beatifull, even my wife liked it.
Sound is a little metal in the beggining but when it warms up sound much warmer.
Beautiful clean sound and very, very loud.
It would be perfect amp for using with pedals but i found a problem and had to return it, it does not have headphones jack.
For me headphones are a must have and I was very sad when i had to return it :(
After considering other tube amps combos for home hobby playing, I decided for this one. It has definetly not the sound od Princenton Reverb from Fender, but for 320 Eur, it is a good value.
With the external overdrive box or through the own overdrive chanel it gives the real rock experience and sound.
Playing the clear tones without any effects as in jazz music or similar, I would say, the sound is a bit doubtful. You have to work with setting to get the tone you desire.
My feeling is that the higher tones sounds, as the loudspeaker was made from old aluminium cooking pot. :-(
Of course, all regarding tones is rather about the feeling of your own ear.
The box of the amp seems to be solid, the knobs durable, footswitch made of metal as well, the diods in footswitch produce reasonable light and I am pretty happy with this amp.
If considering any kind of upgrade of this amp, the change of the Turbosound louspeaker seems to be an option.
I can reccomend this amp for those, they wish to have first tube amp experience, and save money at same time.
Cool tube amp
Great looking and sounding Amp, worth the money that you pay for it. Only con is the wieght of that thing, you really should have a strong arms to move it)
Good combo
Valuable product for this price range.
Versatile and affordable
I dont think you can fully appreciate this amp without putting some decent preamp tubes in,for the stock ones make it noisy and the gain channel sharp and introduces abnormal levels of treble.
Its loud enough for gigs and it can do house noise levels too.
Great cleans, takes pedals very well, no issues with the loop, the gain channel has a vintage character (a lot of compression) that some people may not like
(personally I like it with a boost) but you can always use pedals, good speaker,
Pentode-triode mode and the two imputs allow you to get more sounds but I dont use them that much,
The reverb is pretty decent for a natural sound around 4,
and finally a mid boost for some Marshall like sounds.
Add to that its low cost in contrast with what it offers and its worth the investment.
But in the other hand I do get a rattle sometimes, many people complain about the gain channel being unusable which I dont agree with and its vintage character which limits the sounds you can get out of it to some extent.
Great value for money
The Bugera arrived safely and all was fine upon unpacking. It took no time to become used to the controls and to get a nice sound from the amp. It seems to be built nicely and it is very easy to get great sounds from it. It is unbelievable to think that such an excellent sounding amp can be bought for this sort of money.
A valve amp at an unbelievable price
To be honest I have only just received this amp and turned it on at home I cannot turn up the volume so I cannot give it a proper going over.
The sound seems excellent,it is well constructed with an open back which I like, theres a very good speaker and lots of controls.
Turn it around and theres as much as the front.
It can be used with 1,2 or multiple speakers as its 4,8 and 12 ohms changeable ,theres an effects loop and a fine strong double pedal etc.etc.
The one drawback is the reverb,it is very poor.Very disappointing on such a nice amp but very understandable at the price.
There is plenty of volume it seems like more than 22 Watts.
This amp would be ideal for Home ,Garage ,Small clubs ,Bars and studio, not really suitable for large venues unless miked.
Would I recommend it yes I certainly would ,you would not get a good Valve amp anywhere at this price.
