Excellent unit - really useful

I've had the Ampster for a few months and I'm very happy with it. It's permanently on my board, and I sometimes use it without an amp to go direct to FOH and sometimes in addition to my amp. This avoids the perils of micing up an amp in a tight space, and allows me to do a sort of Wet Dry Wet effect with Delay/ Reverb in the effects loop of the Ampster. Pete Thorn compares the sound to an old Fender Deluxe - presumably '50's style, which is probably correct. I don't think you can really get a Blackface Deluxe/Twin Reverb from the ampster, partly because there isn't a massive amount of treble on tap. This is quite helpful though, going into a PA as you avoid the spikiness that often affects electric guitars connected direct/through an amp simulator to FOH. I really like having no apps to fiddle with and no latency as well
