Very sturdy design, but only 2kg.. Looks good, full metal construction, including knobs! ...The important things..... its transparent...the sound is crispy and in same way is very silky, you can make it thin... you can make it thick... Need more silky vocal? Voila! Need punchy bass? No problem! Its pure class A. It has 41 (!!!) steps for every parameter. Its the only device that have true stereo link ... only one control for both channels! Perfect! Nobody did it before. Let read why I need a true stereo link: I started using it as a "magic, super power secret weapon" for...HI-FI system... Yes... Not many people using those devices in audiophile setups... but believe me ... This device, is doing a great job! More than that, it can be used as an ultimate EQ for headphone setup....

Heritage Audio Symph EQ

It can be transparent or warm if you want to. Its maximum input level is 22 dBu. So if you send an audio less than its limit you'll get less saturation. The high pass filter has the ability to automatically turn into elliptical response when in M/S mode. This way, the Mid HPF stays at 12dB/oct while the Side HPF switches to 6dB/octave! Perfect for vinyl mastering. The only negative thing in this EQ is the quality of its switches and buttons, but again, we have to be wise to choose an EQ within this price.

Dangerous Music BAX EQ

Dangerous Music BAX EQ

A seemingly simple eq that does much more that you would think at first sight and with incredible audio quality. The curves are very smooth even in normally problematic areas like the mid range (when adding it's not harsh and when subtracting you don't loose all the attack). The filters are cleaner than any other I've ever tried and even subtle settings seem to improve what is run through it. The bass and tops frequencies are very well selected and work well with many different types of material. It's not going to work as your only eq but is a great complement to more traditional parametric and semi-parametric eqs (I use it together with the Sontec & the API) I mainly use it for mastering at the beginning of the chain but have also used it to process individual tracks and stems,...

The product is awesome. I like very much the box and rotary potensiometers quality. I use it for my electronic lessons in approaching audio devices in real lab. I'm in face of measuring the characteristics in my private lab with a ribbon mic, DDS signal generator, digital 8Gs/s oscilloscope and Spectrum Analyser (brands for anyone, to my email). Measuring software, ofcourse, but most measures will be fully analog and self-made The only real trouble is the potensiometers arrangement that I have to be used with (that's my 3 star in handling). For an old time electronic like me, loving analog rotary controls, this arrangement is very very strange

Elysia museq

Elysia museq

It's the best. I had been using this product very effectively as a plugin, and I saw in some reviews that the hardware's excellence was well inherited by the plugin. Although there were no special differences from the plugin, I purchased the actual hardware out of pure fan spirit and satisfaction. However, the reviews weren't completely accurate. In my monitoring system, this product had quite a few differences from the plugin (positively so). The part I was most satisfied with is that the stereo image sounds almost 3D. This is incredibly attractive and grows my music several times over. The implementation and quality of the plugin are amazing, but the actual hardware's museq is genuinely a remarkable work. I feel like buying several more units of this product. When I...

Klark Teknik EQP-KT

Klark Teknik EQP-KT

Okay, i probably should use this for longer than a couple of days before writing a review, but I am just so very impressed with this EQP-KT from Klark Teknik! Just running signal through the unit before switching the EQ 'on' adds character to the sound. I've only ever before played with EQ on plug-ins after the fact but now...i have seen the light! Obviously, having large dials to turn is always going to be more fun than point-click-drag on plug-ins 'in the box'...but it's about more than the tactile stuff...the difference I have been able to make to guitar tones and my vocals going into my interface has been so impressive. Having spent good money on v.good plugins over the years, often seeing noticeable but marginal gains relative to the price on my songs/workflow....but i can tell...

Warm Audio EQP-WA GainMod

Warm Audio EQP-WA GainMod

I've been using the wa eqp for a whole month now. It's my first analog equalizer and i bougth it hoping to get a warmer (yeah i know) sound than my plugins. After several tests i found to like the sounds and the work flow you get from using the cut and boost knobs. And even if subtle, you can definitely ear the valves working! But to be honest, i was disapointed. I was expecting something more comparing the EQP to digital....well...maybe plug ins are getting too good! I'm keeping the unit 'couse i have the possibility to buy more hardwares (looking for a tape saturator Portico 542) But if you're going to buy only one hardware thinking it would be a big upgrade from plugins and a way to enter into the analog lush harmonic realm....than i invite you to look for more options. I would...

Neve 8803 Stereoequalizer

Neve 8803 Stereoequalizer

Based on 2 reviews

The AMS Neve 8803 is a fantastic stereo equaliser that instantly brings a kind of "hi-fi" quality to whatever you use it on. The broad frequency range of each band with an adjustable Q setting makes the EQ ideal for surgical frequency correction in recording, mixing or mastering or for broader strokes that affect larger areas. The shelf options are incredibly useful and musical as well whilst the filters add that extra useful parameter. This EQ isn't as colourful as other units, however it does have an inherent colour particularly in the low frequencies. The highs can sound harsh at times when boosted with a bell filter, so I tend to prefer the shelf option. Larger dials would certainly make things easier to handle, but with so many options onboard, it would be hard to see how...
