Cordoba C5

This is my first serious classical guitar, I used to have one that was all laminate which was built very poorly, I always had trouble getting a good sound out of it, this problem does not occur with this guitar. It came out of the box with the perfect action height (for me). The finish is absolutely beautiful, and the solid cedar top makes for such a lovely sound, as well as the guitar strings. The guitar needed to be tuned but that was fixed in no time. I'm very satisfied with my purchase. The guitar is easy to play, sounds great and truly a sight to behold.
Takamine TC135SC
Based on 5 reviews
An excellent guitar for those who play classical, jazz or bossa nova. It has a clear and natural sound. The solid sitka spruce top offers a very direct power sound with increased bass performance. Although not too loud, it has a perfect timbre and pitch. In addition, Takamine includes the CTP3 Cool Tube preamp to further enhance guitar sound and a high quality audio transfer standard. Takamine has always mastered this technology with absolute perfection. Another advantage of this guitar is its narrow nut, allowing greater comfort when playing it. I would recommend this guitar to any musician who is looking for a high quality sound and a beautiful instrument.
Cordoba C10 Cedar

This was my first venture into the world of classical guitars, having always played electrics previously. I gig with electrics, but the classical guitar is only intended for home use. My first impressions on taking the Cordoba C10 guitar out of its nicely made plush velvet lined and lightweight polyfoam case, was its high quality fit and finish. Four types of wood in use here ; Canadian Cedar top, Indian Rosewood sides and back, mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard. Excellent book matching to the Rosewood on the back of the guitar, complemented by a wood purfling stripe down the middle and base, and further purfling to the top and sides. The finish is beautifully even and highly glossy. Faultless in fact, and the neck heal joint and headstock carving is lovely. It is a very lightweight...
Cordoba GK Studio

Thanks to my teacher I ordered this guitar a while ago. And I am in complete love with it. There are some small things which I can say would serve it to become perfect, but I think for this price it already is! Stock strings are not so good, 4th tore after < than a month of playing, but obviously, that's why they called "stock" and actually before that I was playing in metal strings so maybe I hit a bit harder than average. Golpeador could be a bit wider, several times I hit the deck with my ring finger, anyways, can change it If I want to. The main thing which confused me is I've read on the internet that strings action should be about 2-2.5 mm 1st string on 12th fret, 2.5 - 3 6th string on 12th fret. In my case, it is 3 and 4 accordingly. Notice that the anchor rod is...
Gewa Pro Natura Gold 4/4

I was shocked when I took the instrument in my hand. This guitar is a keep from the beginning. The construction is solid. It sounds kind of mid range, but keeps a sustain tone. I have not tested the guitar against other guitars yet but I bet is a winner. I will keep it as it is and if I needs to amplify it, I will use an acoustic guitar pickup in the sound hole. The color is impressive, I already love it. The only thing is the saddle nut is too high but is nothing that I can not fix. This guitar is worth all the money.
Hanika 54PF

First of all, I have to say that I am not a classical guitarist, and so am unable to compare this guitar with guitars with pricetags large enough to buy a new car. In this range, though, +/ - ¤1,000, I think this guitar cannot be beat. It is really a work of art, and weighs only about 1.5 kilos. Very light, very dynamically responsive, and it has a very sweet, full-bodied sound. There is nothing about this guitar that I do not like. The woods and finish are excellent, the workmanship is first-class. There is nothing shiny or fancy, everything has been put into providing an excellent instrument at what I consider to be a fair price-point, especially since Hanika guitars are made here in Germany. While I am not a classically-trained guitarist, I can play. I already have a 2007 Hanika...
Amalio Burguet Noguera Walnut Cedar
Based on 2 reviews
I was looking for an update from my beginner classical guitar (which I paid CA$600). I needed a better instrument to progress with for years to come: more responsive, more sensitive to my playing and with a clearer tone. I started to study classical guitar for the past four years and may be considered an intermediate player. The Noguera meets all my expectations. It is crafted with exquisite pieces of wood and her voice is woody yet clear, has a more bassy character but maintains a sweeter tone than rosewood. The ebony fretboard enhances playability (I can play barre chords with more ease). The mechanics are of high quality (very smooth and precise) and the finish is cleanly done (no sign of glue). The action is unfortunately on the high side (but this is something adjustable by a skilled...
Alhambra Luthier Aniversario

The Wood. I think I got lucky here as I've looked at many pictures of the Ziricote Back and Sides, and didn't like many as there all individually made, but my one is Superb. The first thing i noticed was the Square Flat Neck ala Clapton. This gives you more finger room as the neck is thinner, I like this a lot. The next thing I noticed was the Guitars Weight, it's Heavy compared to my Martinez Spruce/Rosewood Guitar. I've mentioned the Wonderful Body already, well I was also blown away by the Top, I'm aware that its AAA Ceder, but its Red, really Red, I'm guessing it's Canadian Red Ceder, it's Gorgeous. So to the main review, THE SOUND. This Guitar has a Sustain that goes on for ever and has a distinct Spanish Guitar Warm Mellow Flavour, it's also Very Loud. As a Brand New Guitar...
Alhambra 4P incl.Gig Bag
Based on 2 reviews
This was my very first serious classical guitar. It is brilliant! Nice, clean, deep tone. Good volume with a small pressure I can get ff, awesome quality and it is handmade! I can't stop playing. The strings are also of good quality and they look almost new after a month of playing (I play at least two hours a day plus lessons at music school). There is only one thing that should be better - when I play in the 12th position, for example, the note height doesn't match pretty well. I mean it is good enough, but it could be better. On the other hand, we all know that classical guitars note height almost always don't match perfectly. And the gig bag is safe and resistant, it is not heavy, it has got several compartments. The sound is similar to open-pore guitars, but this is better because...
Yamaha CG182SF
Based on 2 reviews
I have been playing guitar for almost 16 years now, many different styles in fact ranging from death metal to blues, even classical at some point. I have recently developed an interest into flamenco and was looking for a beginners guitar, for a while I was between the Cordoba F7 and Yamaha CG182SF. As I already own three other Yamaha's I have chosen Yamaha again as expected and what a fantastic choice this was. This guitar absolutely amazing and great fun to play. The action is a little bit high for my taste but it's not too difficult to sand down the saddle a little bit. If you're looking for a beginners flamenco guitar, I would definitely recommend this one.
