Fantastic Budget Bass Guitar

I am not a bass player, just a guitarist with a home studio, and I bought my first bass several years ago purely for recording. It was a Harley Benton JB-75, which was an excellent starting point for me as I had never played bass before. I've now got to the point where I can lay down some bass lines, but the bass track is the weak point in my recordings. No matter what I do the bass always sounds a little muddy and the tone is not very musical. Having tried a wide range of recording techniques and equipment I decided the JB-75 was the limiting factor and so it was time for an upgrade.

I learned about the Cort range of bass guitars from the BassTheWorld YouTube channel and decided to take a chance with this one. What a difference! It's a huge upgrade from the JB-75 in every respect.

The build quality is outstanding, it's as good as any of my guitars that cost four times as much. It is without doubt a beautiful instrument with a stunning combination of woods, flawlessly assembled. It is just a joy to play, with a very comfortable, slim neck and low action that needed no adjustment out of the box. The guitar is well balanced and very light.

There is a very wide range of sounds available, all of which are very useable. The quality of the sounds is so much better than the JB-75 and my first attempt at recording with it solved all the problems I was having with my bass tracks.

I would highly recommend this bass to anyone looking for an instrument to record with, especially if, like me, you are not primarily a bass player, as it is so easy to play and it has such a wide range of very good sounds.

As soon as the bass has I started playing it and I couldn't be more happy, it just sound so good!!!
