Daddario EJ15-3D 5-stars Reviews
Tone and comfort
My Cort folk had heavier gauge strings for "punchier" tone but they were harder to play, making clean pull-offs and hammer-ons was difficult. Not so with the 10-47's. And the whole of the playing time is an easier time because less muscle is needed to just push the strings against the frets.
When I play fingerpicking I don't use the nails, only the flesh of the fingertips, so fewer highs are emitted. Combined with thicker strings that have less highs, some of the acoustic's nicety is lost. The 10's give out more highs, problem solved. Moreover I play the bass, so nails have to be super-short. Playing with a pick makes the change more apparent.
The tone is not less powerful because what is lost in "punchiness" is gained in harmonics, the energy struck into the string is the same, so the wood's vibration is just as strong. And it seems I felt the extra highs as much as they can be heard. I realize the 12's made the tone metallic, too.
So now it will be 10-47's only for me. The 12-53's were also D'Addario so only two strings needed a tiny filing of the saddle to adjust intonation.
Strings
Strings go 'boing' and on occasion 'plonk'. Probably means they are working I guess?
Quality
Quality long-lasting strings. My guitar stays tuned for a long time.
Great set of strings for the amateur player that I am
To my ears they sound and feel great.
Excellent strings.
I use these on my own and on my students guitars and they very good quality, very good sound and give reasonable lifespan.
One of the coolest guitar strings on the market! Easy to play, cool sound
D'addario the shredding edition!
Very nice strings for playing fast and technical your acoustic guitar, real Mississippi Blues sound...For me the wood of the acoustic guitar, the pins and the strings are the most important thing, the rest is just good or bad crafting...Nowadays instruments are done very well, it's a myth with 50's and 60's guitars or that handcrafted doctrine...Every instrument is particularly handcrafted when the luthier glued together the neck into the body...So...It is making sense...
Great Strings
Restrung my epiphone hummingbird acoustic guitar. Strings sound nice and bright.
Great strings
I use Daddario's for all my acoustics and I'm happy with their strings. The sound and durability is good.
Great pack!
3 sets for value! They sound nicely balanced and bright for quite long.
Good Daddario Strings. It's my standard Choice :)
Great sound
D'Addario really makes great strings. I play a lot of gigs, and I tried a lot of different guitar strings but I must say that these strings have really helped me a lot because they are really solid and they keep clean sound for a long time so I really don't have to think for how long will they last and will my guitar have a bad sound. Polishing them before gig and I am pretty shure that they will last a long time.
Since I am in a band that has our own songs and we also do a lot of covers, we play a lot of different styles of music and D'Addario strings really helped my to keep my sound and in particular the sound I like.

Good product at the right price !
Perfect!!
I couldn't be happier with the product. 2 Guitars got the strings replaced with this set, and the improvement was noticeable. The lighter strings made it a lot easier for beginners like me. Highly recommended.
Wonderful sound for acoustic guitars
These strings are perfect. They create a very warm and beautiful sound and last for a long time. I use them on a handbuilt acoustic guitar and they support its natural sound.
If you play without a plek, they will last forever.
