Daddario EJ26 5-stars Reviews
Love em
I got these in my heavily modified Epiphone EJ 200. They sound awesome and seem to last longer then most strings. They also stay in tune alot better then most other strings too.
Have been using these strings for 6 years now
Simply put I've tried almost every other set of Elixir/D'addario acoustic strings and this is the set I've always returned to. Cheap and highly functional - using these on a Taylor 314ce and they deliver a beautiful crisp tone without sounding too harsh in the high end - nice presence boost around the 5k area which really helps to cut through in recording situations.
There is quite a high amount of string noise but you could remedy this with something like fastfret if you really wanted to.
These strings last just as long as any other acoustic set (barring coated strings, though these have a vastly different feel and tone in my opinion).
Overall...
Overall good stuff. Nice and easy to mount. Has OK sound for the price. I would for sure buy 2 sets of these than one set of priceier strings. They are a good set for the value.
I like those strings
I sometimes try different strings but always return to this. To me they sound best. I find it difficult to describe the sound of strings, so I can only recommend to check them out. The price is not thar high anyway.
My new standard
Used on Takkamine EG541SSC. After using mostly Martin strings for almost 10 years I try the Daddario. They really convince me. The sound is bright but also warm at the same time. It feels like the guitar has more dynamic than with Martin strings withthe same gauge.
As always excellent.
As always D'Addario is my first choice for guitar strings. Very good clear sound and the price is acceptable. I'v tried many different brands of strings before and always come back to those.
