Daddario EXL110 5-stars Reviews
Great sound and reliability
My brand of choice for strings for many years. They have a pleasant brightness (in sound) that lasts for many days and even when worn, they still sound great. Very durable, even when abused with a whammy bar they don't break easily. Color coding makes changing strings easy. Highly recommended.
Great strings - no issues
stable tuning, a delight to use on my les paul style guitar.
Best strings
Bought this strings to replace used ones in my guitar
i've been a guitar player for some years now, making it a full time job as a teacher, been changing strings for all that time too and i've used almost every string on the market.
and always came to Daddario strings.
Very transparent sound, rich and easy to pull some harmonics, to me the 10's are the ones i usually use in all my guitars and the ones that feel better to my playing style.
I recommend this strings and Daddario strings in general, very reliable and durable and delivers the sound i always want even in different playing styles.
My favourite strings.
I always keep coming back to these strings! Great feeling and sounding. Even with the new fancy NYXL strings, I still can't hear or feel that much of a difference to justify the price jump. They seem to stay nice and bright for quite a while too!
Tonality in a small pack
I've played for over 30 years. I don't have one influence, but many . These strings have been my go to strings for over 10 years. I like the clarity of the strings, they bend so well and they never seem to break . I play a gretsch , a tele and a casino , and the gauge is perfect for all ,believe me . They are the perfect balance ... quality , good price and excellent performance.
Always use these
never any problems with these strings - clear sound -don't snap
Nice for Epiphone, but not the best choice for Gibson
Does the job
Love Daddarios and love lighter guage strings so this was a no brainer. Food value for money too
Good strings.
I use these strings for my telecaster.
I like them because they have a great sound and feel and mostly they're quite durable. I like that they have diffrent coloured rings in one end, so its really clear which string is which. They have also really inexpensive price so it's good.
So I would really recommend these strings for anyone.
Great performance for the price!
Everyone knows these strings. Their affordable, reliable and perform greatly for a long time.
Obviously, there are better strings in the market, whatever the parameter and even Daddario makes strings that are more perfected in every way. But if you dont know where to start, this are the standard strings of choice.
You broke a string? Get some Daddario EXL110
Bought a guitar and strings sound dull? Buy a new pack of Daddarios EXL110
Bought a new guitar and the strings play and feel great? They're much likely Daddarios EXL110
It's that simple, they're the standard.
But every rose has its thorn, and with this pack of strings the finish is the flaw.
I'm not talking about the packaging, nor the way they're made. It's just that they break in if you put them in a stressfull environment. (Like all of us, i think) So they tend to "finish" early. If they're well treated, they'll last decades.
You see, the G string is always breaking because it stands in the middle of the neck, right next to the truss rod, where the guitar feels more pressure (per inch).
But now you ask "The D string is also in the middle, why doesnt it break as well?"
Well, the D string is wounded, thereby reinforcing its resistance to break.
These strings are not well suited for other-than-standard tunings. Drop D is fine and all, but Drop Cs or a "capo" kind of tuning will leave the strings in a not so desirable environment. Other than that they feel great, the sound coming out is great as well and they're dirt cheap.
Great Strings!
I use the strings for mostly rock and metal and they provide a very nice clear tone on both clean and distortion. They tune well, after the initial string stretching they stay in tune more than other strings I've tried.
Overall, I highly recommend these strings.
Ultra Reliable
I have used these strings for 27 years. I think I tried Elixirs once and went directly back to XLs. 110s rarely break and I bend a lot. Slow to oxidize and very toney strings at a great price to where I feel pretty smart when I buy them in bulk!
Simply, a golden classic
Like others said already, these strings are great. If you're looking for a good rock sound these are the way to go. Will last you a good while if you take care of them (wipe after using). Would and will buy again.
5/5 stars
A classic
This is a typical .10 - .46 string gauge. It sounds great and feels great on Gibson's and other short scale neck guitars. Will even support some drop tunings, like 1/2 or whole tone down
great strings
these strings are great with a lasting quality. thanks!
does what it says on the tin
they are strings - they work. What else can I say?! Strings are all down to personal preference - and for me I must confess I don't normally like Daddario's. However after byuing yet another new guitar fitted out with them, rather than just ripping them off the guitar immediately I used them, and was pleasantly surprised. I always felt they were uncomfortable for my fingers (I normally perfer Cleartones), but now don't have a problem with them. Keep their zing for long enough, no breakages, all in all would use them again!
Perfect Strings
After 10 years of playing, trying every brand and gimmick of strings, these are the ones I always come back to. Crisp, great intonation, long lasting and great feeling. Everything you want from a set of strings. For all styles of music I wouldnt use any other brand.
My go to strings
What can I say about these strings that hasn't all ready been said.
These are my go to strings now... I used to play Ernie ball all the time, but made the switch 5 years ago and haven't looked back.
These are great everyday strings, they are long lasting, produce good tones on a array of different styles of guitars.
Great color coded ball ends makes it easy to know what string goes where.
Great strings for price
They will do the job needed at a great price
