Daddario EXL110W 5-stars Reviews
Love the gauge
Wound G-string helps my Les Paul stay in tune. I used this set for years and then I stopped. Now I'm back on it again. Although the wound third string makes bending a little difficult, it helps a lot in staying in tune especially on a Gibson.
Best price/performance string with wound G
Been using these strings for the past 10 years or so. Since I am a heavy bender I need strings that will take some abuse and won't be too expensive since the lower E will brake sooner or later :) tried a lot of strings back then and these are the ones that stayed with me so its a solid 4.5 rating from me with a rating of 5 due to price/performance.
Great strings
I always use these. They dont pop easily.
Def would recommend
Great strings at a great price.
I love these strings. They sound great and don't take long to settle in.
Not sure if the wound third helps tuning stability, but it sounds much nicer to me. I've always found an unwound third to be too harsh sounding, however this one sounds nice and mellow.
They don't last as long as elixers, but are nice and cheap so I'm not complaining.
Great use for semi hollows!
I have been using these on my Epiphone ES-339 to round out the sound even more when playing on higher strings solo, and give an even nice warm, and round sound to the chords when strumming or fingerpicking.
I play them as hybrid finger style, so the sound tends to come out even more rounder out of my setup.
Classic Daddario quality! would reccommend for anyone trying to use them for rhythm, warming up the higher strings, or in general if you prefer wounded G string.
Pretty good
Pretty much the only wound G set with "normal" gauges. Pretty good - they're D'Addario XL, and sound like expected.
D'Addario quality
Feels just about the same as usual D'Addario strings, and by that I mean they're very good. Third string is a bit different than on my usual packages, but that isn't something as important
After playing exclusively playing the EXL115W on my 6-string I've decided to give these ones a go on my new 26.5 scale 7-string in combination with a NW064 for B standard and drop A tunings. They sound and feel great.
Very Good
Wound G is the only way to fly..
Daddario EXL110W
what can I say they are daddario's , they are awesome and so was the service
Favorite strings.
Good price, good packaging, nice tone. Right product in right place!
Nice change to regular 10's
Like a normal set of XL 10's except it comes with a wound G string. Nice if you want a bit of extra oomph to your strat sound like SRV or that kind of thing. Helps a little with awkward guitars that always slip tuning on their G, common problem.
018w
The choice of the string sets with wounded 3rd is very limited for some reason. But it really gives tonal benefits! Wounded 3rd sounds much more even, without 'artefacts" often related to 3rd strings. Daddario are good strings and does not cost much. It is my most common choice.
High Quality Strings!
The D'Addario EXL110W Nickel Wound Electric Guitar Strings (Regular Light Gauge) have the same high quality standard as the popular EXL110 D'Addario strings! The main difference between these strings is that the G string of the EXL110W strings is also nickel wound! I use these strings mainly on guitars where I have problems with the tuning of the 3rd string (maybe you know the problem!), because it seems to me that with a nickel wound G string the tuning is much better (no more problems with detuning!). So, if you have the same problem, you should maybe test these strings! It's worth the try!
