Daddario EXL120-10P 5-stars Reviews
I Always use Daddario EXL120-10P strings. For me it's a good deal the price isn't so bad and the quality is good. I recommend.
Best buy, high quality!
ultimate set
Have been using D'addario strings 9 gauge for the most of my electric guitar playing life. Usually playing with a lot of aggression since I stred playing in a thrash metal band, and the 9 gauge strings really went great but the smaller E used to break every third rehearsal( 10 hours of playing lead etc.) and all these in standard tuning. I used at the time a cheap Ibanez RG 270 with low profile licensed floating tremolo which made this whole thing even worse. Since I up-grated into this Prestige RG with a low edge profile tremolo and things were not that thrash any more but it cot more into Progressive stuff, combined with a lower C# standard tuning it all came obvious I needed a 10 string gauge set to be able to keep clearness of the chords, sustain and my guitar in tact. That's when I changed the gauge and voila...Using the Daddario EXL 120-10P was a whole new universe to me, in terms of a trying to get used to make the string sing the way I could with the 9 gauge set...But after a few days the guitar really flourished and I 'll never used 9 string gauge ever again...Round sound, Clear tone and sweat leads. Incredible set.
strings
best strings ever ! use them for more then 20 years
Thanks Daddario
Tough twangin' thang
D'Addario make great strings, they stay bright and clear for a long time and I very rarely break them. My sweat is fairly corrosive (apparently it varies between people) and I still get decent life. On top of that and a good string to string balance and consistency from one pack to the next, the other things I like about D'Addarios is the price, eco-friendly packaging and the fact you can find them almost everywhere - though at the price they are here for a 10 pack why would you buy them elsewhere :-)
I used to use Ernie Balls...
My go-to strings used to be the Ernie Ball Super Slinkys, but I just decided to go for something different one day. The main difference with these is that they last a good deal longer. It's been a while since I've used Ernies, but I'm pretty sure the only other difference between the two string sets is that the Ernies are more, well, slinky. If you like slinky strings, go for the Ernies. If you prefer something more solid, go for these right here (as I mentioned before, they also tend to last longer). Also, this pack is great value. They come boxed really nicely too.
5/5
best value for money
These strings do exactly what they are supposed to do. Be cheap and sound good! They suit me perfectly because i play weekly shows at venues so i need to change strings every couple of weeks at most. Luckily i dont have to pay that much with the Daddario's and keep sounding bright!
Totally recommended
Was a huge user of these strings for a number of years before switching to Ernie Ball strings and found they were great. Great brightness and response when you first put them on but they seem to degrade faster than other brands in terms of sound. This is why I switched to Ernie Ball as for me they last longer.
I also find they break a little more often than the Ernie Balls I use now.
In conclusion if I was super rich and could afford to change my strings after every gig or 2 I would probably pick these over Ernie Balls but I don't so I prefer Ernie Balls.
Great strings though. Certainly top quality just not for me for those reasons
Always Reliable
Unless customers ask for or supply a different brand, I fit D'Addarios to all the guitars I set up. I know that they are going to sound great, intonate without any problems and make the best of the guitar.
Tried and Tested
Love these strings. Get about ten Gigs of bright sound and total reliability from these
strings before I change them. But bare in mind I am a working guitarist so tone can wear quickly with sweat and pushing them to the max. Best part is these strings have never failed me (broken) in a Gig situation which is crucial as my tremolo system causes all strings to go out of tune with the breakage of one string (1986 Japan Strat) Fully recommend these strings (having played with many) Rock on S
Strings n things
No just strings! I have used d'addario for 10 years they my favourite strings for 2 reasons.
1 they are very consistent! other brands I have used have broken frequently and many used to come part corroded. these are packed in some kinda magic plastic that keeps them fresh
2. I have always loved the sound of these strings and because I play a lot of heavy funk music at gigs you really notice when the strings are sub par!
Cheap standards that do the job !
In fact - why pay more? Better go for these cheapies - who do the job quite ok and you can afford changing often !
