Daddario EXL125-10P Reviews
Best strings
Hands down the best strings you can buy for this price
They are my choice when it comes to good guitar strings
I won't write something that it's not already written. They are good and i use them when recording/ playing live.
I love them and they are my choice when it comes to good guitar strings!
Can't go wrong with these!
Light top, and regular heavy bottom strings. Perfect for players who prefer 9 gauge strings, but want some tighter low end.
Only 9 sets
There were only 9 sets in the box. The box was sealed, so I don't expect someone took one set out. Must be bad quality control.
Value pack
With ten sets in a packet you can restring several instruments without having to go back to the shop. I've been using D'addarios in all my electric guitars (4) and have always been happy with the quality and sound.
Amazing strings
I love this set of strings. 5,5 euro for a set of strings is already a very good deal. On top of that, the tone is very clear and bright.
The combo of more bendable high strings with heavier low strings gives you the ability to add some amazing bass to counter your high solos.
Would definitely recommend!
I love them
Superb strings, always fresh in a sealed plastic bag
D'Addario forever!!!
Just that...
I find in them anything I need, tone and definition-wise, and I just couldn't be happier with their quality!!!
I like to play around with different tunings, and thet offer a wide range of gauges. Also, the fact that a huge range of singles of any gauge are available to customize sets, is brilliant!!!
From time to time I try other brands, and many are OK, but is just I have found my feel and tone with D'Addario, and I'm always going back to using them.
It's a matter of taste, as always when sound is involved.
For me they're PERFECT, I love them!!!
I use these on nearly all my guitars
I think these last longer and feel 'new' for longer than a string called a slinky. I use them on a lot of guitars. Heavy bottom for rhythm and thinner hi end ones so unison bends etc are fine to play
good strings for good price
I have been using daddario strings for a long time and I think the price/performance ratio ir good.
The Pros:
light top gives you the oppurtunity to play crispy, funky, bright rhythm parts, easier to play fast parts compared to 010 strings. And guitar still maintains good low end punch, Rock riffs as well as walking bass(if you're playing jazz etc) of course sound better on 46 than 42
The Cons:
light top in my opinion is not good for big bluesy solos ala Stevie Ray Vaughan, 009 doesnt have the body and richness of sound.
To sum up, this is a good stringset if you play different music with a single guitar.
Very good string in convenient set for affordable price
I have ordered these strings based on recommendations of many guitar players. The quality and sound is very good. This set has low string of enlarged size that gives a bit heavier sound on bass notes.
10 packs package provides very affordable pricing. Be prepared that 6 strings in one pack are not separated so you will need a little more attention while changing the strings on your guitar.
Highly recommend!
Strings!
Just guitar strings. Still, they are very well made. The tone is bright and bell-like, the feel of the strings is solid, and they last quite the while. A good purchase for any guitarist.
Best of both
D'Addario strings have been my go-to brand for many years, because they provide the right tone and longevity without breaking the bank. I have always oscillated between .009 and .010 sets, but this hybrid set provides the ease of playing the top strings for those endless solos, while giving a bit more grunt on the low strings.
The main downside to D-Addario's strings is that they coil the strings together in pairs, so E/A, D/G, B/E. They apparently do this to make it easier to count the strings in the factory so you definitely get six in a pack! All well and good, but if you have to replace a broken strings at a gig, it becomes troublesome to uncoil two strings, select the one you want and then put the other one back!
Great strings, shame about the packaging.
I've played D'addario strings for 28 years (custom lights for the last 25) - I've tried Ernie Ball and Elixir but keep coming back to D'addario for their feel and consistent, bright tone. The custom lights provide a great balance between light tops for ease of string bending, with heavier bottoms for big chunky chord playing. I play with quite an aggressive picking hand, but with d'addario I very rarely break strings. The only fault I have with them is that a few years ago D'addario stopped packaging the strings in individual paper sleeves in favour of all six strings coiled together in one sealed plastic package (to preserve their shelf life I guess). Unfortunately this sometimes makes the strings tricky to separate, and if you don't take care it's easy to get them kinked. For that they lose one star. That aside, a great product.
Very good!
I just put on a pair of these strings on my Washburn PS-500 and I was positively surprised as they kept the tuning straight away without any major string stretching needed. I've tried several other brands and gauges, but these are perfect for me and for play blues since the thicker strings will keep the rhythm sounds fatter and then soloing made super easy by the lighter gauge.
I usually play with 0.13 when playing metal, so I was afraid it would be a big leap, but it suits me just fine.
Recommended!
Good strings
There's not much to say here, these are good strings and feel great to play on. Their lifetime isn't great but it isn't poor either.I primarily use these for rock/blues music and for acoustics metal and cleans I use Ernie Ball.
Good Value!
If you are on a budget and you can't afford expensive strings like Elixirs' then these are the strings for you. You get ten sets of strings at about 50% off of each set. That's some great value!
Speaking about tone, they're not the best and they don't last very long if you don't clean them after every time you've played your guitar. But if value for money is all you seek in strings, this is the set for you! And the best part is that they come in many different gauges to suit any type of playing.
