Daddario NYXL1046 Reviews
Good strings
These are nice strings with a clear sound however they didn't last as long as what I was expecting.
Out of the packet they definitely sound and feel better than most strings I have tried with a very nice clarity. However after about 3 weeks I could hear that there were already starting to sound dull. I usually get much longer out of strings than this.
I would still recommend these strings however just be aware you may have to change them more often than other brands.
Great strings, good tension, rarely breaking :)!
Awesome set.
My go-to strings set choice.
Great Strings
Great strings, really reliable, holds the tune, great bending ability and great sound.
amazing strings!
i only have pros, the strings last a lot, and have a coating that's very nice to the touch
Crisp and clear sound
Feels really good and lasts a bit longer than normal uncoated strings. Tuning stability is the big thing with these.
Heavy duty stuff
Amazing strings, they last for ages with no rust. And they sound huge in terms of volume, IMHO these are the best choice for the heavier genres (rock, hard rock, metal etc.). And in terms of elasticity, they feel like 9s, especially of shorter scales, obviously. Can't recommend them enough
Arguably the best strings you can buy
While NYXL strings are notably more expensive than other brands, it's worth the extra buck if you want better quality and longer lasting tone. I hate it when string makers use too much marketing to justify ridiculous premiums over the competition, but for NYXL is more than that. This strings are actually THAT good and worth the price. While I still like to experiment with various brands, NYXL are my number one choice when I go into the studio or play a live gig, for both bass and guitar.
Best Strings ever
Nearly impossible to break, and they sounds great!...
Good quality
I'm very satisfied with these strings. They stay much better in tune than the ones I used to play with.
love these strings
didario nyxl hands down best strings and ive had them all
Still just strings to me.
I've been using D'addario EXL110's for 20 years but decided to try the more premium XL strings for a change. To me they look, sound and feel the same as the regular ones but I'm sure they engineered them to be stronger. I don't see why they're twice the price though. They're good, but I'll stick to the EXL's
After many, many years my now go to strings
When testing this set of strings I discovered the following:
1) Very nice tone !
2) More output compared to other nickel-wound strings of same gauge
3) More stretch for extreme bends
4) Keeps retention better over time compared to other strings
5) Easy to play and nice feel
6) Improved tuning stability
7) A pretty long-lasting "new-string-sound"
8) Keeps that "I just changed my strings feel" much longer than regular strings
My conclusion: Going forward the NYXL series will be my favorite set of strings for most of my electric guitars.
Yes, they are considerably more expensive than the standard D'Addario EXL series or similar brands, so it's up to the customer to decide whether those differences or improvements are worth it.
Best strings ever?
Maybe the best strings ever made.
Wonderful sound, good elasticity and most important they give you always a perfect tune.
I keep coming back to them.
I play these strings on a Tele, a LP and a Casino. The lend themselves perfectly to each guitar bringing out each of their caracters.
The sound projected from these strings is full, clear and reliably consistent.
They feel great underneath the fingers, better than most Ernie Ball strings but not as good as some Elixir strings.
I have never had any tuning stability issues with them however the one drawback I can say about them is that in a humid environment the unwound strings tend to oxidize relatively fast. Still I prefer them to coated strings.
I've tried many other types of strings but the NYXL is my choice for overall sound, feel and build quality.
My all-time favorite strings
Great durable strings, very loud, come back to pitch really fast and stay in tune better than most strings.
These are not slinky, they are rubbery and stick to your fingertips.
They will dig the nut grooves of your guitars really quickly, so apply some nut lubricant.
Daddario NYXL1046
Used these on my charvel so cal Japanese excellent strings very responsive has exceptional clarity and last longer than conventional strings highly recommended.
Great strings, they are what d'addario claims them to be
I highly recommend these string, although I'm not an expert.
They do stay in tune very well, better than the regular d'addario strings. The sound is bright and open, but well balanced.
Some of the best strings out there
Great durability, almost zero loss of tone in 4 months. They are not cheap...but worth every penny!
Great as always
I had other strings on my guitar, but after replacing them with this ones, my guitar sound much greater and richer! Will buy again.
