Great for metal

I use these on all my guitars for metal but occasionally will play some blues and they are fine but still keep in mind that they give more bottom end.

Always my go to strings

These have always been my go to strings, however my back up strings have changed to the Harley Benton HQS range after trying them out.

They’re not quite up to the standards of the NYXL for my liking, but they’re the closest thing I’ve found without using another set of NYXL’s

Really bright sound

Love this string, the sound became brighter if compare with the other Daddario strings I used.

Great set for playing metal in E standard

I was trying out different sets for playing metal in E standard, and 10-52 is for sure a way to go. Super tight wound strings for riffing, medium to light tension for unwound strings for bending.

Great strings - the extra investment is worth it

These strings feel great and for a long time, compared to other lines such as the D'Addario XLs.

The extra few bucks are worth it

Great for modern guitar players!

Used these strings on my guitars for the last few years and I've always been very happy with the feel and sound

Favourite set for Drop A on a 7 String with the low single 0.64.

The guitar strings are the first strings I played after I switched from DR Strings (after 13 years)..

They sound way clearer and brighter, punchier. They just make the guitar sound less dull.

I mostly play Drop A on a 7 String and use those strings, I play hard and normal guitar strings (ernie ball etc) ripped very frequently.. This stopped with DR and now continues with D'Addario!

The sound lasts way longer than the DR's too.

Give them a try if you enjoy heavy sounds but like to keep it clear.

I play a Shecter KM-7 MK III in Drop A or G# tuning (Periphery, Merrow, Conquering Dystopia but also stuff like Carcass, Entombed and similar)

Something Extraordinary

I use these strings on my Gibson SG 61' Reissue and my Fender Elite Strat and boy I've got to tell you... The balance between great tone and astounding durability is something I've never seen before. I play the crap out of them and so far theese strings have lasted me the most time. And I've tried a lot of different string manufacturers. I really recommend trying them.

Yes, yes and yes!

I had been playing with normal strings (sometimes Martin strings, sometimes D'Addarios, sometimes whatever was available at the local shops) for well over a year, and started to notice that my strings just oxidated super quickly, and I needed to replace them ridiculously soon, and I hated it, because it costs a lot of money in the long run, and is annoying and time-consuming to replace each time. I play an awful lot each day, and I think my sweat from my fingers is super aggressive or something.

Anyways, I changed to NYXLs once, and I will never ever go back! They've changed my life for the better!

Now I can leave them on for 2-3 months without them needing to be replaced because they are corroded or something. I can play all kinds of styles on it, without them ever breaking, rusting, or anything alike. Heavy picking attacks (even on the high E string (trying to play fast, or chugging and riffing wildly)) don't bother them, slapping like a lunatic (because it's trendy lol) on them either, and downtuning 1 1/2 steps and then bending the strings like a maniac (1 1/2 steps or even 2 steps at times) are not a problem at all. What a fantastic product!

Buy it once, and be glad for the rest of your lifetime that you made that decision! Seriously, it's so good! (in my opinion though)

Probably the best strings out there!

Really don't have much to say. I mean strings and picks are something completely personal. To me these are just perfect. Great sound, full, with clarity, not to high-freq, and durable.

Great for a standard tuning on short scale guitars

I use these on my Les Paul which i keep in standard tuning and it is a perfect combo for tight bass strings and flexible harmonic string for all the leads. Highly recommended if you please fast sixteenth notes and .46 is just not enough for you.

Great sounding strings

These strings sound and feel great. The string tension is great for playing down tuned (half or one full step) guitars on a standard scale length.

Great recording strings

I bought a few packs of these as a test, to see if their higher price tag was worth it. I must admit, they DO sound better.

The tonal balance across the strings and the neck is really good, they project like crazy and while they're not the brightest sounding strings ever, they keep their inherent clear character for a long time.

I've played 6h on stage with one set over a couple weeks and still sounded great at the end, whereas a standard set would usually last me only half of that time.

Worth investing!

Great product!

They sound great and feel great. They last long and perform well.

Tone is subjective and what works for one individual does not have to work for another one but, this is a great product.

I'm supper happy with them and the fact that they make a 10-52 version is even better. Try them out, you won't regret it!

Best strings ever.

I've been using these for Drop D and the 12-60 set for Drop B and they seem to last at least twice than any other strings I've ever tried.

Feel and sound amazing, also take a lot less to stabilyze once you monted them, which is a big pro if you're touring.

Great so far.

Have used sever brands of strings over the years non have let me down giving this one a shot.

Right off the package the strings gives an impression that am here to take all the abuse.

Currently i have it on all the guitars, the performance is outstanding.Tonal wise its great but gets boomy in times when played though humbuckers rolling off the tone knob and it sits well in the mix, didn't find that issue when used on single coils.

Tuning is super stable is stringed properly. Very pleased with it. Will only change if someone introduces something better.

Really 1st class , super tough , great feel .

I moved over from Elixir to these in 10-52 gauge , although I was hesitant because I had been using coated strings for years , I took the jump because I had been having breaking issues .

Very glad I did , They have a really strong and full tone , they break much less than the elixir and they stay fresh sounding (not as long as the elixir ,Because those are coated ) . They feel great , and sustain !

Perfect for drop C

Using these on a telecaster for drop C tuning for a tight mid range (you could say djent if you wish, but not as heavy). They do their job brilliantly, cant comment on the longevity of them yet as I haven't played them for long.

The high output of them actually helps them to cut through a mix very well - similar in sound to the ernie ball cobalt series of strings.

Only gripe is the price - are they really worth three times the amount of nickel/steel strings, probably not.
