Perfect solution for anyone who has snapped a single string

I stupidly snapped a single string while putting on a whole new set, so ordered this as a quick fix, rather than opening up a whole new pack.

Very nice, smooth and sounds great as you'd expect from Daddario!

Backup strings will save you money!

Not much to say here, always get backup strings of your favorite brand and gauge strings after what strings you usually break during restringing process. Instead of having to discard whole sets, one can instead substitute with the backup single string.

Nice Single String replacement

A long time Daddario user I wanted to try a few single strings on hybrid set I was looking at.

This string has a nice tension across a 25.5 inch scale neck tuned to D Held tune well after stretching in and blended well with the other strings.

As the string is steel I found it a tad brighter than the exl strings I was used to using.

Still sounding bright after a weeks worth of play, 2ish hours a night.

I don't really break strings that often but when I do it tends to be the high e or in this case the high D, I have bought a few spare of these just in case, but so far so good.

There will never be another like this :-(

This is hands down the best string I have ever purchased! Many times before I have purchased a string only to find it didn't quite live up to my expectations. But not so with this particular string.

As soon as I opened the corrosion inhibitor packaging I knew this string was different.

Firstly, it was 1.28mm longer than any other string of it's type that I had personally measured. The steel compound contained 5 times more tin(Sn) which is obviously one greater than the 4 times more tin which D'Addarrio claim it should contain by way of their EXP Compound Plating process. The weight did seem to be in accordance with other strings of the same type that I have purchased previously, which I will admit to being surprised at!! Throughout all my tests and measurements, I could find no fault with this string. NONE!! But it did have an odd taste (which could very well be caused by the increase in tin)

So to sum up, if you are like me, and you only play with a single string in you guitar, make it this one. Well obviously not this exact string, but one very similar in design would do nicely!!!

single string

Used these on and off for years now. They're good strings. We even use them on a tenor banjo (4 string Irish banjo), which takes a lot of hammer and I can't remember one ever breaking.

Good choice for replacement strings

I like a .11 as my high E-string, and I've always liked the sound D'addario's strings, but the handling of the thicker strings isn't always what I'm looking for. Right now I'm using hexcore set for higher tension, but I replaced the high E with this one and that was certainly a good decision.
