We bought this for use in a church installation. We wanted a complete PA system with a sub and this fitted the bill perfectly. It was about the only one of these type of column speaker that allows you to separate the two 'tops' and mount them on stands / brackets for stereo sound - which it the primary reason for selecting it. The sound quality is amazing and the spread and projection of the speakers is nothing short of remarkable. Even at 90 degrees to the tops there is still a lot of clarity in the output, although at extreme angles you do lose a bit of the top end but, if you have a speaker cab at right angles to the person listening to it there is something wrong with your set up! The whole package is compact, reasonably lightweight and incredibly well built. For a portable (or...

I must say that it is very good system for smaller gigs like restaurants, smaller parties, etc. It is very easy to transport and carry. Setting up is very easy, menu is really user friendly. Sound quality is excellent, crossover is really well made and 16 speakers really give each frequency time to shine. 4 stars on sound because sound is not as loud as some other speakers with same power, but with two of them on stage, you can get a decent amount of power. All in all, it is well worth the price.

While these are great speakers for the money generally, one or two things i would consider to improve the overall use. 1 - a better power switch. I have come across similar power switches on other high powered speakers and over time they do fail. Probably due to high current. Maybe a delayed relay would be better. I think Powecon instead of IEC would also be more pro. 2 - A balance control between the upper units and the sub unit. The DSP is useful, but in certain situations rolling off the bass isn't the same as just simply setting the level. I believe that the RCF units at the same price offer this. 3 - The cases from DB are really overpriced. They need to re-evaluate the margins their making for what are essentially soft cases. There seems to be no options from what I see. Bit of a...

If your thinking of buying a compact system and are hovering over the BUY button then just click it, honestly you won't regret it!! Now don't get wrong it's still a case of horse's for courses, if your (let's just say) a mobile Dj and you do many different venues of various sizes (again lets just say) upto 300 people with this being your only/main P.A, then obviously this system isn't for you and you may want to look at spending 4x the price of these for the FBT Vertus CS1000. But if like me you have a residency or regularly do smaller venues then this system up to about 100 peopleis the mutts nuts. I own Yamaha dxr 10's, 15's and subs and brought these as an alternative to the 10's Last night I was in one of my regular venues a decent sized pub playing a massive variety of music...

One of the best purchases I've made in years. Lightweight but powerful and very versatile. Ok, so it could be a little more sturdy, but for the money it's exceptionally good. I've used for solo performances, Karaoke and Disco. It's coped well with all applications. The onboard mixer is basic but works well with a mixer plugged in to it (I use a mixer so that I can add effects to multiple channels. The bluetooth is a useful feature, but I prefer to plug in the laptop rather than use the bluetooth feature. Space-wise, it has a very small footprint and has very little feedback from the microphone even when stood about a metre away from the speaker. The sound is clear and punchy with copious amounts of bass from it's diminutive 8" bass speaker. I highly recommend this fabulous...

I'm a mobile DJ and I have 2 pieces of ES802 columns and they are truelly amazing! The sound they produce can compare to the sound produced by 2 or 3 times more expensive speakers (I am speaking about the quality and not the loudness). I prefer to lower the highs as well as mids a little bit for the better sound quality as the highs are really strong on these tops. Bass - amazing for 12'' speakers. Also, they go quite low. In addition to this, I have heard worse sounding 15'' subs which are more expensive than these little mighty subs. The only problem with the subs is that then you push them quite hard, the material under the protective grill starts to emit a bit annoying sound. It is because it's not a foam but a plastic-like material with thin plastic seams that rub against each...
