DBX DriveRack PA2 Reviews
Amazing!
I tried this for a small theater. With 2x RCF 322A and 2x Unknown RCF Subs, and it blew my mind! The clarity of the AutoEQ is insane. It improved my speakers performance by about 16%. My speakers had some power that i never heard in them before.
The only negative side of this DLMS is that you have to buy the DBX DriveRack RTA-M (or any other RTA microphone) Because they haven't included with the Driverack..
This Driverack is useful for Churches and Small-Medium Halls! The included AFS (Anti-Feedback Suppression) is a major plus. All in all i give this product a 10/10.
Good value for money
Good thing if you have a analogue console. Adds a lot of features
Mediocre, good after-sale online support
Difficult to update, lacking database of speakers, mediocre measurements.
Convenient size, good presentation.
Edited 23 May : Good after-sales service from DBX (by email), support has been excellent.
Good sound quality
Very good sound quality specialy in high frequencies. Good crossover with lot of types and 180 polarity but no phase degree and no input gain
DBX DriveRack PA2 - BUY ONE!!
What can I say - 'the music comes to life' with the DBX. I have a Behringer CX3400 which I like and have used for years - then upgraded this to the Behringer ULTRADRIVE DCX2496LE which did not live up to expectation. Decided to pay the extra and try the DBX DriveRack PA2 and boy am I glad I did. Treble is crisp, Mids are crystal clear and the Bass is solid. Read many reviews that were positive prior to purchase but I did not believe that there could actually be so much difference in the sound quality until I heard it myself. It does take a while to get used to setting up initially but the 'wizard' is a great help - my system sounds totally different (in the best possible way) and I cannot recommend this unit enough. My biggest regret - I did not buy one sooner. Buy one and enjoy.
Brilliant speaker management system
I purchased one of these a while back and I have had the chance to gig with it at several different venues and the sound that comes off my rig is awesome with it. People actually comment on how good the quality of the sound is. I'm using with Dynacord 18 bins and 15" tops and I couldn't be happier. Well recommended. I'll be upgrading to a DBX Venue soon and I'll bundle this one with my hire gear.
Huge improvement on the old version
I use this in a big 3 way FOH system. The new auto level and EQ wizard is a huge improvement from the old pink noise, single reference point system. The new one uses full sweeps and lets you take up to 4 points before it calculates the EQ. The PA has never sounded better im very happy with the upgrade. The wireless router capabilities are also very convenient allowing you make adjustments using the dbx app on your phone while being in front of the stage. Makes the process a lot faster. High quality build and easy user interface. I?m very happy with the purchase!
Very usuful
We used this in a night club for live band and DJ and the results was Magic. We substituted a very expensive controller for our DAS system and with the DriveRack and what a difference, really! My tech calibrated it to the room and everyone commented on how great my system sounded, and this was the first time i ever heard anything good about the sound of the remaining DAS amp and Speaker system. We recently used it in a live outdoors setting with a different PA and the sound again was great. Don't even debate if your looking for a great sound, its a inexpensive solution that you wont regret.
